My Server has crashed 5 times today and when it crashes, it crashes all the clients aswell.

if anyone has any ideas to fix the crashing, please post them :)

Thanks,

I was surprised to see "Gamespy" for the server browser, thought they went under.

probably have to wait till beta before servers are stable, I really hope they give the multiplayer some much needed attention.

Hi I'm also experiencing those crashes.

I had a wasteland server on my dedicated server running with 40 slots and after about 1 hour it just crashes.

At first I thought something is not wrong with my server but also other servers crashed like the 404 Wasteland UK Servers.

Then I thought it could be the Wasteland mission but it also happened with the TDNL DM Mission.

I tested it a bit and with less slots like 30 to 20, the Server lives longer.

The thing is that the client is also crashing as Stapo says and so if someone reports crashes on mp, it is maybe just the server which caused it.

My Server Specs are:

Intel Core E3-1245v2 @3,4 GHz

32 GB DDR3 RAM

100 Mbit

But I run it on debian with virtualbox windows 2003 with limited ram of 4 GB. But the server never took even 1 GB though this should be okay.

PS: Why do we not have the permission to make a thread in the ArmA 3 Alpha Server & Administration Subforum?

I tested it a bit and I think the crash happens after many or a certain number of people overall connected to the server.

I tried also 20 Slots and 30 and the server lived longer...

Same problem here!

I also tried several things to solve this problem and also thought it might be wasteland. But no success yet.

Would be nice to know if this happens to everyone or if someone managed to fix this problem.

My server:

Windows Server 2008 r2

Intel XEON E3 1230 CPU mit 4 x 3,2 GHz

16 GB DDR3

1000 Mbit

My server went a whole 15 hours and didnt crash at all now, all i added was -mod=DirectX to the server startup line (thanks inch) my startup params now look like this:

-server -mod=DirectX -port=2302 -config=Server_Config\server.cfg -cfg=Server_Config\basic.cfg -name=Arma3 -profiles=Server_Config

Also its running Stratis on my own custom TDM mission.

Our server has been having the same issues. The mod directx seemed to help a bit but an hour later our server has just crashed yet again.

Yeah for me the same. It doesn't really help the directx mod. Still getting random crashes. :(
