theofficiallou 10 Posted February 28, 2013 Trying to fix an issue where if you're in 3rd person view everyone is seated normally in the Helicopter. If you switch to 1st person, the pilot and passengers are sunk into the seats. This is my first time getting into Oxygen 2 and working with this so forgive me if it's something simple I over looked. I tried raising the Cargo and Pilot proxy in Oxygen 2 but that doesn't seem to have any effect. Any help is greatly appreciated.
soldier2390 0 Posted February 28, 2013 I am having the same issue but both the Driver/Gunner and Cargo passengers are sunk into their seats? I am trying to figure this out myself, maby to be able to point out the problem may i ask you a few questions to see if anything is the same as mine then it should lead us to the source of the problem! First, is your model using proxy's from a Arma1 BIS Sample model? Second, is your proxy pathed to the Arma1 animations(if your proxy is from bis Arma1)? Third, does your proxys info stuff in that little box in O2(sorry forgot the currect terminology) the same as in your configs? P.s. i am new to this too but i will try to help, no guaranty though! Dave, Honestly this my first day using any of BI's tools so I'm still trying to make sense of this and how to check for what you're looking for to compare. I did how ever take a SS of what I hope can answer your questions in regards to solving our issue. http://imgur.com/1X6xFTW
Richards.D 761 Posted February 28, 2013 Alright gentlemen: When you place your proxy LOD, you need to ensure that they are adjusted correctly. I find that I need to make tons of small adjustments to ensure that my characters sit correctly.
theofficiallou 10 Posted February 28, 2013 Alright gentlemen: When you place your proxy LOD, you need to ensure that they are adjusted correctly. I find that I need to make tons of small adjustments to ensure that my characters sit correctly. I have tried moving the proxies and when I test it in game I see no visible changes unfortunately. Although I may not be making the small adjustments that you may be implying, like I said this is my first time doing this and I may not be aware of some kind of setting I need to be messing with instead of just trying to move the triangle marker representing the proxy. saltatormortis 12 Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) best solution is showed here! it shows how you create a custom animation and place a proxy with visible animation in O2 for simple placing if you dont want to make a custom animation then you have to make a try and error system (im not shure if a arma restart is needed or a mission abort to the editor is enough ) Edited February 28, 2013 by SaltatorMortis
soldier2390 0 Posted March 1, 2013 I may end up making new custom animations but I would rather use ones already made to save me time. But like TheOfficialLou said no matter how much I manually adjust the proxy, in game characters still are sunk into there seats? I have even tried to move the proxy's up over the roof of the vehicle just for a shits & giggles test...and nothing, units are still sunk into thier seats? Sealife 22 Posted March 1, 2013 Make sure you don't have properties Autocenter = 1 on the lod Also make sure binnpbo isn't keep binaries the same p3d do this by making a change you will recognise for a check then rectify once you know your binaries ing latest version , sometimes if you don't tick clear temp folder , your simply bin arising an old version not the latest iteration Hope it helps

As far as the second part to your recommendation, Clear temp folder, Create signature, Binarize are all checked in BinPBO. I remade the proxies as the video tutorial showed that SaltatorMortis linked and it seems to have fixed the pilot seat although it brought news issues up for the back seat. When you load in, the camera in 1st person is now zoomed back penetrating into the cabin and you can not see any of your character and in 3rd person there is no visible character.
