ZxJosephxZ 1 Posted January 28, 2013 I have had ARMA 2 for around 6 months and my brother also purchased the game during christmas, we tried playing on the same ARMA 2 and Dayz server but when one person has joined it will not allow the other person to join that server or any other server and if I try to join second it kicks me from the game that I tried to join. Any help would be appreciated :)
Tankbuster 1747 Posted January 28, 2013 Sounds like you are both using the same CD key.
ZxJosephxZ 1 Posted January 28, 2013 Sounds like you are both using the same CD key. How do I change the key that I am using? We both own legitimate copies we bought from steam.
Tankbuster 1747 Posted January 28, 2013 You can't change the key. Are you sure you didn't both install the same key?
Hoffe 1 Posted January 29, 2013 You can't change the key. Are you sure you didn't both install the same key? Sure you can, it may or may not be easy but you most definetly can. Dont know how touchy they are about these things here though :P
Hoffe 1 Posted January 29, 2013 Possibly an issue with two people trying to connect to a server using the same IP address?http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a297/Dotanuki/banhammer_zps122bb496.jpg I dont get the reference but ok :D And the same ip shouldnt affect it, got several users on our servers who play from the same ip. :)
Hoffe 1 Posted January 29, 2013 banhammer That would require that you get the reference to mchammer (or whatshisface) and that the stop/no/ban sign is understood properly. But point taken. :)
5133p39 16 Posted January 29, 2013 I think one of my friends and his girlfriend had same or similar problem while playing DayZ (both using legit copies, and ofc not the same key). If i am not mistaken, he found a router was responsible for those problems. Try a different router, if you can. I'll try to get more info from that friend of mine, to confirm or clarify this rummor :)
