Adding heal ability to units

Is there anyway to make a unit who isn't a medic able to heal other players? I'm wanting to add in some MVD/Spetsnaz to a mission but they do not have a medic class.

It's possible but in an addon config. Just add

attendant=true;

in a dedicated soldier config file.

If it is for a sp mission then you could simply place the first aid module on the map and sync it to the units.

I have multiple units that I want to give the medic/engineer roles to for my multi player mission. Is there a way of adding something to that units init line?

No. As said above you can only define medics in a unit config. This can not be done in the mission editor.

What you can do is using the medic/engineer units for these roles and change their gear to what is needed. This can be done in the editor.
