lato1982 36 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) Hi, Actually I'm working on a single player mission and one of my most important goals was to create an addon free mission. You will need justa pure Arma 2 CO to play it. I think many peaople don't want to download many addons and instal them to play a single mission if this is not packed in a single file. But the further I go with my mission I got tempted with all those fine addons like for example this one. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=13732 Works great looks great, but needs a seprate download. I wanted to ask you, what kind of missions do you prefer? Edited January 21, 2013 by Lato1982
tom3kb 15 Posted January 21, 2013 For a campaign or mission pack with many missions i can download many addons, thats no problem. But i don't like to download addons for only one mission.
Wiki 1558 Posted January 21, 2013 I dont mind downloading addons for a single mission as long as there are not too many of them. eg: for a single mission, I dont mind downloading Nimitz + F-18 + SH-60B + units But it is because I know these ones will be used in other missions. But I dont like downloading addon that I know to be used only once.
Phantom Six 25 Posted January 21, 2013 I can go both ways. Usually for regular coop missions, addon-free because its easier for me to find people to play with, but then at the same time I do like addon enabled missions but don't overcrowd the addons. Keep it kind of universal if you know what I mean, like addons that people tend to use a lot or just a custom island. For example, addon missions that I wouldn't mind would be with Lingor and Lingor Units. Now if its Lingor Island + Lingor Units + <Insert a bunch of unit and weapon addons here>, then that'll be a problem. If its a campaign or singleplayer mission, use all the addons you want, MP is the main issue because not everyone wants to dl too much addons, so I prefer to keep it universal if the addons are required.
