deltavenom 1 Posted January 14, 2013 I've been googling and searching forums, but I still have crappy searching skills (overall :/...) Is there a Arma 2 map where, basically, Chernarus is populated with civilians roaming, docs at hospitals, cars on highways etc,...? I know that it'd be a pretty simple and fairly boring map with a crapload of effort, but for me it'd be pretty cool. I'd make one myself but, the only map I could 'populate' would be utes xD. -Thanks. (This is the right section to ask such questions, correct? Sorry.) thryckz 1 Posted January 14, 2013 Not from the editor - will exceed the limit of 255 units for team. However, this can be easily scripted using ALICE .

"Easy" may be a bit optimistic...no? :) I'm thinking he's imagining GTA-like breathing, bustling cities and that would be a major, major effort if even possible. Though I'd love to have the template! Richards.D 761 Posted January 14, 2013 It could be done as has been said previously.. it's only a matter of time if it has not occurred or been done yet. The main issue with this would be lag. Especially in Multi-player, it would be a very unpleasant experience. As said ALICE would work, and you could also use the Waypoint tool in the editor to make some AI's drive in very predictable scripted patterns, same with civilians. starky396 1 Posted January 14, 2013 Look up the module improvement project. That might suit you needs. Then fiddle around with the demo missions to see.
maturin 12 Posted January 14, 2013 With the exception of the larger towns and Chernogorsk, most of Chernarus would feel fairly deserted in real life, too. Enough so that the ambient civilians module would do it justice. Take a wander around Ceske Stredohori, or any other rural area of Europe and you'll see what I mean.
