I am a little miffed. Trying to figure out why BIS decided to use Gayspy exclusively and not allow other Game Browsing software to detect OFP:R games. Namely All Seeing Eye. It must be a financial reason. Because I know of no other reason why a game manufacturer would force it's clients to use such crap software like Gayspy. Think about it, anytime you go to a different page using that crap software, it makes you sit there and view advertisements that you want NOTHING to do with. Oh..I have been told I can get rid of the advertisements by "purchasing the software". It is my money, I can spend it where I want. So basically it boils down to this...

let me see if I get this right. I purchase the game to play online. Then I purchase the software that allows me to play online so that I can have an enjoyable experience playing your game. And then have to KEEP paying the Gayspy retards so that I can KEEP playing YOUR game. EVERY TIME I OPEN GAYSPY, THEY MAKE MONEY OFF OF ME. I don't like the way they do business.

I own/run Stoner's House of Pancakes. I have never asked for money/donations from ppl, because I do not believe that if a person buys the software, buys the hardware, and buys the ISP service, that they should NOT have to pay to play online. I feel that I cannot keep putting out of my pocket to play a game online, especially after being friggin FORCED to do it.

I have never said anything bad about BIS/CM, and have always backed you. Explained the game when I could, telling ppl that you guys will fix the issues. And you go and pull something like this...How retarded is that? I hope you made enough money.

Excuse me, but I am not sure what you mean. How is Gayspy making money off you?

I have played on a few servers, all of which I connected to through the new in-game server browser thing. Yes, it is powered by gayspy, but what do I care? As long as I can connect to a server, I am not too bothered about it?

Hey Hawkeye:  You are correct, you don't have to pay for Gayspy.  If you want to use their software to connect to an online game, you have to wait for there advertisements to load and for you to view them.  Then they let you continue.  Should you need to go to a different game or restart, it makes you wait again.  How valuable is your time Hawkeye?

Hey Ronin:See above pls.  They get paid to show advertisements.  They get paid ALOT of money to do so.  

BIS took away any choice of how we connect to the game by using Gayspy exclusively. ASE is a great alternative to that other program, and you don't have to sit there and wait for crappy advertisements to load.

I agree with you man, the adverts piss me off too, but in the end isn't it better to put up with some useless adds than pay hard earmed cash just to get rid of them, they don't take that long. Of course, my time isn't very valuable as so I guess this may not apply to everyone.

What adverts are you all talking about? When I connect through the in-game browser, all I get is "powered by gayspy". That little advert is annoying?

TBH, I prefer this over 1.46, where you didn't have an ingame browser!

Ronin:With the ASE option, I do not have to spend XX amount of time loading up gayspy, waiting for the advertisements. Getting useless spam about how to join a game, or being berated cuz I have a stupid name, or being told by a gnoob that his server is the best online and if I could join it. Every time I go into that stupid lobby. You may ask, "Why not just use the lobby feature in the game?" I play several games that I support and enjoy very much, I don't always want to play them, usually depends on where my buddies are. I like the option of opening up one program to find whatever game I want to play and have that game start my game. I like this option without someone harrassing me, or trying to sell me something.
