allthumbs 0 Posted November 26, 2012 Where can I find a list of military abbreviations used in Arma 2 related to the guns, scopes, and ammunition? like Stanag, TWS, ACOG? I am lost as to what I am trying out in Armory mode with all the selections. I did not see any in game descriptions. Thanks

allthumbs 0 Posted November 26, 2012 No kidding. I never thought of that. But I figured someone had a list specific to Arma 2 instead of a list of a thousand terms I don't need.

So you thought that someone overcome his lazyness to support you in your lazyness? But seriously, i think that this is a excellent idea to have a ArmA 2 related glossary of military abbreviations. What do you think how long it takes you to finish?
allthumbs 0 Posted November 26, 2012 Remember I am the lazy one asking? Seriously though, I have no idea what alot of the terminology means, from bullets to scopes. I really figured someone had already done something via a wiki or something. Especially since the original Arma has been around for quite awhile.

And you expect a military game to explain the terminology for you? Seriously? Google is your friend here 2. Why would you expect someone ELSE to do some sort of Arma dictionary for you, when there is at least a complete one already available on the web?
allthumbs 0 Posted November 26, 2012 It was a simple inquiry. There are rabid game fans who have done alot more work on walkthroughs and FAQs for different games that were a hell of alot more work than an Arma dictionary would be. Fans develop entire websites as tributes to games. BTW PuFu, where is the complete one you note in your response point #2 as I am unable to locate it. allthumbs 0 Posted November 26, 2012 I wonder if PuFu would go through the list for me and just give me the ones pertinent to Arma game? What do you think?
PuFu 4600 Posted November 26, 2012 I wonder if PuFu would go through the list for me and just give me the ones pertinent to Arma game? What do you think? I wonder how hard is to use the embeded search function of the browser. Pertinent for the game are more than the ones you'll find inside the game files. More so, you are being cheeky
