WackyIraqi 2 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) I recently upgraded to a new TV which doesn't have a VGA input like my last one. However, it does say it supports 1920x1080 using the HDMI/DVI input on the back (which is only an HDMI connection). I'm using a DVI-to-HDMI adapter out my video card to convert to HDMI. When I start the game up in fullscreen the game will play for a few seconds and then it will "appear" to crash to desktop. However the game is still active and all of the simulation is still running including capturing inputs etc. I can fire, move, navigate menus, hear sounds, but I can't actually see the game. All I see is my desktop. My mouse cursor even shows the ArmA2 cursor. This problem can be fixed by flushing my VRAM, however this only fixes it for a few seconds until it crashes again. This problem seems to go away when windowed. I have tried lowering the game resolution down from native but it still seems to crash. I also do not get the normal popup message saying my graphics driver has crashed and recovered which I normally do when I have to flush VRAM. edit: also forgot to add, there are no dump files created nor is there anything in the RPT file. larsiano 12 Posted November 27, 2012 Maybe your LCD refresh rate could be the problem. If the game gives more then the 60Hz like most LCD's have as a native refreshrate, it could loose the signal maybe. Try to find out what refresh rate your LCD has. Also try to enable Vsync in the options to see it it helps. If that don't work you could remove all ArmA2 folders from your documents folder to see if its a config problem? And always user the latest video & chipset driver you can find: http://www.guru3d.com/files/index.html
WackyIraqi 2 Posted November 27, 2012 I tried enabling vsync. No luck. Also, after the graphics crash on me, all of my google chrome tabs turn pitch black. I have to open new tabs to get them to display anything.
ast65 10 Posted November 27, 2012 I had also several problems using HDMI input with my ATI card, switching back to DVI fixed it for me.
