Fireforge 0 Posted July 3, 2002 Heya, I know I dont exactly have a "beast" machine but whats with the choppy game play when settting Graphics quality on anything better then "normal"? Should I be using some sort of magic drivers? or is it just that time to upgrade my video card. Oh ya, and another thing. Is it just me or does the game look better when I "don't" enable T&L which I thought was better. Placebo 29 Posted July 3, 2002 Your system is fine, your GFX card is getting old, GF3/4 can handle high easily, seems that very high is really for the next gen of graphics card, if you want to run in high res with max fluffy stuffs.
Jester983 0 Posted July 3, 2002 I think youll be fine, i suggest putting it on both. See what happends. Also, heres a suggestion, take off all shadows. Shadows tend to mess up and you dont really need them. Just nice to know that they are there though. Hope that helps
BoonieRat 0 Posted July 3, 2002 From what I've seen so far.... My GF3Ti500 does'nt seem to notice any difference between normal and high, but very~high is choppy. also its VERY ugly IMO and awkward for landing helis' and driving on!! you can pick up a Leadtek Gf3Ti500 for about Å130 nowadays, and the 4200 & 4400's are'nt far behind!...
