What are the black-ops in ofp supposed to be?

Recommended Posts

I'm so confused by that. It just says Black-Op. Are these guys just supposed to be some kind of rent-a-spec-op?

Well, consider the word black op. A black op would be offically disavowed by the U.S. government, therefor the blackops in OFP would be a covert group like SFOD-D or SEAL Team 6.

Okay this is most likely wrong but what the hell..

I think they are COP (citizens on patrol) (those who have seen the police academy movies know what im talking about)

Cause techniquely Gastovski is a citizen on everon.

I thought he lived and/or worked on the little island with the small airstrip just North of Malden. (From the cutscenes at the beginning of the 1985 campaign.)

I think he's a Majestic-12 operative. In fact I'm sure he is, as I know him personally.

Well after killing Mr Gastovski over 100 times in the past 10 months I think anyone would know him personally. smile.gif

Wasn't Gastovski's rank commander? That would make him navy (SEAL?). But mostly I think BIS and Codemasters wanted to have a militarily-inclined James Bond-like character. biggrin.gif

I always thought that they were Green Berets or SEALs. They stay behind enemy lines for long periods of time and interact with the Resistance. Seal Team 6 and SFOD-D are more counter-terrorism.

I think they are CIA...

Thats actually a ski-mask type thing that special forces wear for night ops. I think i heard someone call it a baleclava.

I'm going for what USsoldier11B said. I'll just call them Seal Team 6.........and maybe Delta Force for an upcoming mission i'm making biggrin.gif
