Mossberg 500

Isn't the SPAS-12 really prone to jamming?

Anyway boys, as we speak i am filling a gun license application paper for a Mossberg 500 12/76... It will be my first own firearm and ill pay it myself so i figured a fairly cheap pump action will get me the most bang for the buck so to speak... Been working my ass off for it the past month but that just adds to the sweetness when im actually get to hold it. I'll use it for hunting (ofcourse)(got mah hunting license this spring) and pest control (damn youd never know how much birds there are in our garden... good thing we live out in the woods so i dont have to worry about the sound issue...)

I also think i'll by a pachmayr star side extra ammuniton holder for it...

ps. i know im not sounding very professional here but i dont know all the correct gun terms in english..

Adammo actually made a Oxygen produced Spas-12 shotgun model...but it had some problems with its sound where you only heard it from the first person view and not from a 3rd person view or when other soldiers fired it. It's part of his addon pack#1 with the FBI units and Star Wars droids. I'm not sure if he ever fixed it...it would be a shame if he didn't because it's a damn good looking addon. sad.gif

I know what addon your refering to. I have to agree with you to. It does look like one of the better shotgun models.

That was a nice model, but from a distance it turned into a shoebox (at least on my PC).

Rambozo, would it not be a good idea to make a version with a stock also? Maybe the Blackops could use the version without stock, and the grunts use with stock version. How does that sound?

Really looking forward to this shotgun, been waiting for it since Flashpoint came out:)

I actually do plan on doing a 590 with stock and ghost ring sights. It will come dont worry.

For the actual firing effect, you might want to take a look at FlipeR's new masterkey addon...he handles the shotgun effect (and ammo count) very well... smile.gif

So I assume you can't use handguns in OFP and the first expansion pack?

to make a shotgun more realistic in OFP, you can just make it fire a high caliber round. At least you wouldn't have 5 casings come out of the gun, and you could still simulate the power.

It would simulate a shotgun slug...but still I think it's nice to see that scattershot pattern slamming into targets...plus like a real shotgun you aim doesn't have to be so precise. smile.gif

The real limit is ammo I think...someone should make a shotgun simulation based on the M60 ammo but firing multiple rounds at once. Maybe not quite as realistic in terms of reloads but at least a little funner.

Yeah thats the problem we are having with the shotgun. We still have to figure out what we wanna do about the firing effect.

Does the Kozlice spit shells out when it fires?

Personally I'd rather NOT have shell ejection rather than watch a shell fly out for every shot pellet.

It's a pump gun anyways, right? The shell wouldn't eject right after firing anyway. smile.gif

Well Rasta has be tweakin the config. And I gotta say its pretty slick.

Currently it shoots multiple pellets, has a mag cap of 8 rounds, and there are no ejecting brass. The only prob I see right now is that the reload time and reload sound are out of sync. Aside from that its nice.

Also since this is a pistol grip version there is no scope view.

How about the reloads for it? I hope you don't just get 8 rounds and that's it. sad.gif If that's all that's possible then oh well, but if there is any way to carry more ammo, that would be very very nice to be able to carry plenty of shells. Otherwise I hope he's carrying a pistol as a backup weapon. smile.gif

Rambozo, what units will get the shotgun? I hope you will give it to both BlackOps and a regular soldier.

the shotgun has a magazine with 8 shells in it, and they can be fired directly, without magazine reload. You can give ppl more then one magazine.

I didn't plan to create a own unit for the shotgun, cause it is just another unit in the editor list which you defenitly not find if you search for it. But in the readme the complete line to add a shotgun is written so you will only have to copy and paste it in init field of any person you want to be armed with this gun.

Update: there will be a western soldier with that shotgun.

So, since no one here will answer my question, I am to assume that you can't use handgun mods for OFP and Red Hammer?
