Please Help ACR DLC Trouble.

I own Arma 2 OA from Steam and I own Arma 2 from Direct2drive.com. I just perchased the new ACR DLC and It's not showing up inside of my game menu.

I also own BAF and PMC DLC's and they both work fine. I'm able to launch my Arma OA in combined ops mode and run both Arma 2 OA and Arma 2 within

the game. I have no other bugs than this bug. I tried to see if the Arma Launcher from the Armaholics web site would help resolve this issue but it didnt seem

to fix the problem.

If you can help me fix this then I would be very greatfull. Thanks in advance.

Check your ARMA2 installation folder if there is a ACR folder at all.

If yes, check your ARMA2 shortcut if the Mod is loaded at all. The "target" line should look something like this:

E:\ArmA2\arma2oa.exe -nosplash -mod=BAF;PMC;ACR

My Arma is installed in this Directory - F:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 opperation arrowhead\DLCsetup\ACR

There is also BAF and PMC in the same directory. I tried copy and pasting the ACR folder into the arma 2 opperation main folder because there was

a BAF folder and a PMC folder in that folder but I did not see a ACR in the folder in the main folder. There was only a ACR in the DLCsetup folder.

I created a Arma 2 Opperation Arrow head short cut and inspected the "Target line". The target line looks like this

"F:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe"

I copied all of my files from my F:\Arma 2\Addons folder to this folder without overwriting anything.

F:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 opperation arrowhead\missions\addons

I edited my OA Target line to look like this.

"F:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe" -nosplash -mod=BAF;PMC;ACR

Loading up the game I now see the letters ACR in the top right hand corner of my game menu and I now see ACR in the "Expantions" window.

I do not see any new ACR maps in my "Editor Mode".

When I click on Campaign I see a list of things but I'm not sure if any of those campaigns are from the ACR Expantion.

I'm not familiar with that Steam stuff but I can help you at least by telling you what terrains you should see with a properly installed ACR DLC:

Since you bought it from direct2drive.com they are the first to contact as they should know their sold products best (and received your money). You can also try the contact details from the BI Store.

However, I'm pretty sure sooner or later someone else with more Steam Experience than me can help you out. You would be the first who can't get his purchased game or DLC to work :)

Direct2Drive does not exist anymore. But thanks, I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner or later.

ACR is funky and if you're loading ANY mods it needs to be loaded as a mod, unlike BAF/PMC. This has nothing to do with where you downloaded it from. Just always load ACR as -mod=ACR;@whateverothermods; and you'll be fine. Or use a launcher like Six Updater and never get confused like this again.

The Steam version of the ACR DLC, for some reason, never runs the actual setup for the DLC. It just downloads the files onto your computer. The way I managed to get it working was to go to the store page for the DLC and hit the 'Play Now' button below the screenshots on the page. It should then run the setup and hopefully work as intended.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

I reinstalled Arma 2 OA and then reinstalled Arma 2. I updated Arma 2 from version 1.05 to version 1.11. I clicked on the "Play Now" button

on the "Czech Republic" store page and the DLC proceded to install and loaded properly in the game.

FYI Previously I did have Arma 2 update 1.00 to version 1.90 installed.

If you have any idea how I can change my "Thread Status" to "Problem Solved" then feel free to advise. Thanks for you efforts to help me out and

make sure you always keep your heads on a swivel!

Now that my Czech Republic is installed I use the "Target Line" for my Arma OA shortcut.

"F:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe" -nosplash --mod=F:\Arma 2\Bohemia Interactive;Expansion;ca;BAF;PMC;ACR;
