Indian Army Addons

Hi All,

This is my first addon attempt. I am trying to create some indian army addons followed by a limited modding attempt before I move on to ARMA 2 & 3. Consider it as an outcome of spending 6 yrs with OFP and over this period of time I have observed a lack of Indian Army addons (barring vila’s addons in ARMA). So I decided to create some of my own. I would like to share the WIP screenshots of the following with you all. Can anyone plz let me know the procedure for the same

1. LCA (tejas) fighter jet to be inducted in indian air force

2. Indian Navy MARCOS specops soldiers (they are armed with IMI Tavor- Zittara in Indian version in real world scenario. In my addons I’ll use SJB weapons pack and JAM3 before my wepaons are ready)

3. UCAV

There isn't any particular procedure to post pictures : you have to upload them somewhere (such as imageshack or some other pictures sharing sites) then post the link here, considering you respect the following rule :

Tejas looks very nifty, it would be great to see it in OFP. Are you planning (at some point in future) making FGFA/PMF (Sukhoi T-50 variant)?

Good news

I have almost finished the LCA. Hopefully by today EOD it'll fly in OFP sky. Its unarmed as of now. Planning for 3 versions, A2A, A2G and multirole. Heres the links

If you plan on making the naval version of the LCA don't forget to make it compatible with the Kuznetsov carrier since it is the closest thing to the INS Vikramaditya that we'll get.

Hi All,

Finally LCA has flown into OFP sky. I am very happy today to announce this news. On the downside a lots of bugs need to be worked out. Hopefully will be done by this weekend

Did you make it in O2? It looks to me like you haven't applied smooth and sharp edges to your model. That would make the lightning on the model look much better.

Hi,

Yes its completely designed in O2. This is my first addon attempt and i dont have complete knowledge about efficient usage of the tool. As you mentioned i dint use sharp/smooth edges and during testing i found out the awkward lighting effect during dawn/dusk but couldn't find a solution for the same (i thought may be the textures i used were too glossy). I'll try smooth/sharp edges as you mentioned and will post the result. Also there is another issue. Despite using the shiny feature in afterburner it does not light up in the dark(where as the same works perfectly for cockpit texture). Can anyone here suggest the solution?

N.B: Following must be mentioned behind this addon creation

1. BRSSEB tutorial

2. Colonel klink tutorial (for landing gear and overall structure. I take pride if LCA's wing design)

3. Footmunch's F-16 analysis (he is a genius to me)

Hi All,

Year 2015

As per a trusted source a plane of unknown type and origin has been spotted flying above eastern everon sky. Interestingly it was escorted by two USAF F-16. When compared with F-16 proportions this plane appears to be much larger. Apparently this unknown machine is undergoing flight tests. Also there is a rumour that the same plane has been seen landing at USAF base Diego Garcia located at Indian Ocean. Also there was a tri-color roundel on this plane and apparently had a bi-cycle landing gear.

Experts believe that this plane is carrying out recon flights over Iran and Somalian pirate bases. There has been a rumour for a quite long time a joint assault will be launched on these pirate base to eliminate for good. But the purpose of recon activities over iran remains somewhat mysterious.

Good news,

Sharp edges on the LCA has worked fine. Lighting is far improved now. Will upload the updated version soon. Currently A2G version is in progress

In the meantime the second aircraft is seen again. It has got two engines as seen in IAF base at Jamnagar

Patriot battery is only engaging target within 2000m range. Whereas i want to increase it to atleast 6000m (MCAR Sa-8 engages at more than 6000). Can anyone please help
