Bonx 1 Posted September 13, 2012 Hi all, In helicopters and planes, the co-pilot/gunner has normally access to commands and could take them over should the occasion arise. In the game, I do not find a way for the co-pilot/gunner to control the aircraft. I can even see on the MH-6 and AH-6 that the passenger on the right holds a stick so I guess he should logically be able to control the copter. This could be very useful since the AI tends to shoot at the pilot (me) more than at the aircraft. Often the aircraft crashes after the death of the pilot even though (IRL at least) a copilot could take over the command. So my question: does anyone know if there is a way for the co-pilot to control the aircraft? (other than disembarking ofc...)
Iroquois Pliskin 0 Posted September 13, 2012 In ArmA II - sadly no, otherwise I wouldn't have lost so many Littlebirds to sniping DshkMs. :D It's one of the proposed ArmA III features/wishes.
blackmamb 2 Posted September 13, 2012 Though if you do play with ACE, the Littlebird enhancement Mod by Dslyecxi allows you to do that in the Littlebirds only.
Bonx 1 Posted September 15, 2012 Thanks for the answers. I have found out that with the action order (key 6) I can ask - sometimes - a unit to change of place (e.g. from back seat to driver) without making it disembark and re-embark. It works only with ground crafts however.
