Advocate and nordin

i know nordin was "temporarily" banned by placebo. But that was a few days ago. and i would expect him to be back by now.

advocate had his posting rights removed for a day i think, but that was last week.

Does anyone know what happend to these two?

no one knows exactly what advocate did, he was just being a bitch the whole day and i think it was an accumulation of things.

nordin started a pointless thread, and paid the price.

advocate, as stated earlier was extremely sarcastic and negative towards almost every post that day. so that earned him a day of posting rights revocation.

nordin did start a thread that i could have turned into something....and i thought he was banned. but if it was just his posting right, then I hope they both come back.

Both were perminantly banned, as far as i know. I talked to advocatexxx about it, and denoir banned him perminantly. Dont know about nordin.

I think Placebo said he reinstated Nordin...so we should be seeing the blue smurfy fellow back soon.

Advocate...well...I dont know anything about him...but he was nbeing a dumbass that day. We all have bad days...but it's totally unfair to take them out on everyone else.

I'd like to see some more relaxed standards applied to threads in "Offtopic" -- as long as people don't get into flamewars, use expletives, discuss anything illegal such as warez, who cares what they say?

Several threads in "Offtopic" have been closed as being off-topic (how could that be ) or pointless. That doesn't make sense...

I agree that it's really hard to be off topic in an offtopic forum.

However, most of the threads I see closed as 'off topic' are off topic on the topic of the thread. Did that make sense?

I disagree with you in that not policing threads ends up with huge amounts of pointless spam. And while BIS did really well with Flashpoint, I cant see them funding all the badwidth for the annoying 'me too' stupid threads.

All I can assume is that Nordin had been warned in pm's about starting threads like that... After all..cant ban someone for a first offense without being totally out to lunch.

I agree with warin.

With RES just about out, alot of new people are showing up. And chances are some media types might be droping by.

I wouldn't want this place to look like a CS forum. So maybe thats why alot of things have been happening the way they have....the closing of spam and the occasional ban.

If I can help it some G4 peeps hopefully will take a look at RES ,as they are hurting for content.

And a little OFP promotion could go along way here in the states......I hope!

Nordin was a 24hr ban he's since had them returned.

Espectro again 24 hours and since returned (just in case anyone wanted to know)

Advocatexxx was a temp ban but then he abused Denoir in PM's so he made it a permanent one.

If you want to ask questions like this PM a mod, don't make threads in the forum, closing.
