eagledude4 3 Posted September 1, 2012 I managed to get a model ingame without using a geometry and fire geometry LOD, but as soon as I tried to put them in, the model doesn't show in game. basically I copied everything from the 0 Lod, and pasted in the geometry and fire geometry LODs. [aps]gnat 28 Posted September 1, 2012 FAR too little information. Model? man, car, building ? Either way, read the posts in this forum, right next to yours. GEO and FIRE LODs are just very simply shapes made of cubes and wedges (and sometimes spheres), generally representing the outline of the model. It doesnt have to be complex like Resolution LODs And its very rare for a Resolution LOD to be suitable as is for Geometry and Fire Geomtry LODs
superrat 10 Posted September 1, 2012 whats the poly count on a model BIS engine limit is 18000 you dont copy model lod 0 or 1 and paste it into geo , fire lods you need to create them very simple it doesnt have to be or resemble exact shape of lod 0 or 1 after you make geometry model in oxygen highlight whole model go to Structure\Topology\Find Components then in left corner in Geometry lod give a model mass check one of the BIS released model this will give you idea how whole thing works

That won't work. You need to build the special LODs according to certain constraints. The geoLOD must be made up of simple convex hulls... so like a bunch of simple shapes approximating the collision geometry of the object in question. I would suggest downloading the BIS sample models (and noting their license) and using those to figure out what you need to do. http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Oxygen_2_-_Manual#LODs http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA:_Sample_Models
