oo para oo 13 Posted July 17, 2012 First off steam does not update the game, so we have to go find it elsewhere on the web. So you would think this would be a simple process. no. Open patch, run it. .. -Arma 2 has stopped working - Go back in to steam and check integretity of all Arma 2 and Ao Baf - Arma 2 has stopped working Then I am told you need to copy the beta exe from within the game files and replace the original exe Then I am told you have to add a code in steam launch options as it wont run without Then I find out Arma 2 launcher is not compatible Basically my entire game is f* I have to uninstall everything and start again. Why the hell is Arma like this? its always been hassle. New players? forget it. A simple thing like installing a patch and boom, 6 hour reinstall its a joke. If Arma 3 wants to pull new players in it has to streamline the process and make the game more intuitive. I love the game but I am so fed up of this crap, 2 of my friends spent 3 hours last night trying to fix the dam game so we could play and after all this c* we are still on 1.60!!! Placebo 29 Posted July 17, 2012 Beta patches are beta for a specific reason, as in at your own risk. 1.61 threads did warn there was no way to simply undo and go back to 1.60 Troubleshooting is not for beta patch issues, if you want to give feedback on the beta patches then please use the correct beta patch thread. In this readme you find this - if you read it: ARMA 2: Combined Operations / Operation Arrowhead / Reinforcements Patch 1.61 RC1----------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright © 2012 Bohemia Interactive. All rights reserved. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ------------------- An original version of Arma 2: Combined Operations / Operation Arrowhead / Reinforcements 1.50-1.60. HOW TO INSTALL THE PATCH ------------------------- - Run the patch exe to apply the patch setup automatically. - It will install all content of the patch to the folder with your Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead installation. - Please note that it is not possible to rollback to a previous version after the installation of this patch, only a full reinstall of the game is possible, - if you want to keep your previous version you may want to backup the entire game installation folder before applying this patch. - NOTE: This patch will also update your: VERSION 1.61 HIGHLIGHTS ----------------------- After all, there is a reason why such readme's are written and included. ;) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
