Purchaser retail Arma2:CO misunderstanding

I bought a retail copy of ArmA II CO from the Air Force Base near by. I expected there to be a CD key for CO but instead there was two seperate keys for A2 and A2 OA

I found this very misleading as Steam says there is a retail cd key for CO

Is there anyway i can get A2 CO on Steam without rebuying it?

I find it misleading because Steam states that there is an A2 CO CD key, but there isnt, theres two seperate keys. And steam only takes the A2 CO keys

And they probably couldnt say theres a key unless Bohemia told them to

Put in keys for arma 2 and install it, put in the OA keys and install it. then you get CO. What is the problem here?

If it's what posted on steam, you should asks steam sales representative about it.

Steam does not take the individual keys, it says it will only take a CO key

Not seeing the cause for complaint? Insert the DVDs, install both games, you have CO.

Retail games are not steam compatible unless they specifically state steam compatible and I know our retail games do not because they aren't.

I said in my post that ArmA 2 CO is on steams list of retail compatible games

Did the box say on it that it was steam compatible?

That's Steam's list not ours, I'd suggest you complain to them if you feel you were "misled", we have no input with that list.

And you will note it does say " CD Keys in this format: 1AB2C-D3FGH-456I7" which implies there are CD Keys in other formats which aren't necessarily compatible.

Strange. Shouldn't you have input on that list? Its your game. Valve can't just say what they want, can you somehow at least ask them to take it off the list?
