Crash after the Atari screen.

Recommended Posts

Whenever I launch the game I get to the Atari screen then it crashes to desktop. I play on Steam. Here is the error report:

Texture ca\miscus\data\ui_splash_atari_gs.paa:1..1 not released

Infinite loop prevented in ReserveMemoryLimit

*** Reset failed (8876086c)

CARD - Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset

RAM - 4.1 GB

They are bad, I know, but I have played it before. It just started today.

You try adding -nosplash to your startup after the exe, that will remove the splash screens.

Ouch. Ok, try closing out "everything" that you do not need. Check your Task Manager to ensure that stuff like WSearch are not running. The will eat up tons of your memory.

I recently re-installed cpl months ago just to see how ArmA1 faired on my new pc an also could'nt get it to run. The first time i tried i'd get the Atari logo than crash an everytime afterwords it would just crash. After months of tryin i finally fiddled around with the run as compatibility mode an got it to run i think(don't quote me) but Win NT( or one of the off modes) i think got it to load up an run. Dunno if this will fix your problem but sure seems simalar. Also note thats with Wn7 home premium AMD Phenom IIx4 3.20 4 gig
