[frl]myke 14 Posted July 5, 2012 Since we're not playing on consoles where OS and Hardware are identical for everyone, some more info would be welcome: - Game version - Windows version - used hardware - drivers up to date (all of them)? - DirectX 9 up to date? You know, the usual suspects.

[frl]myke 14 Posted July 6, 2012 Since we're not playing on consoles where OS and Hardware are identical for everyone, some more info would be welcome: - Game version - Windows version - used hardware - drivers up to date (all of them)? - DirectX 9 up to date? You know, the usual suspects. We're making progress. If you continue providing info in the same speed, you will have a solution approximately in Q4 2012. [frl]myke 14 Posted July 6, 2012 Usually there is a sticker at the bottom of a Laptop with the exact model number/description. Game version: do you have steam (which would equal to latest official patch/version), download (then, from where?) or retail (a DVD)?
orcinus 121 Posted July 6, 2012 @noobtuber: In XP if you right-click on the "My computer" icon on the dektop & select "Properties", a multi-pane window opens. From that you can get system software version, CPU type/make, & processor speed. In W7 you may need to run as administrator. Right-clicking on the arma2OA.exe will allow you to check the version. Hmm: "i have the new directx windows 7" = you mean DX11? Arma/OA/CO require DX9c. Download that from Microsoft (Googling for the link is easier than hunting the M$ site) and install it if you haven't already done so.

[frl]myke 14 Posted July 6, 2012 (edited) i dont understand if this comp can run diablo 3 this game should be a piece of cake System requirements for Diablo3 are by far lower than for ArmA 2. Intel HD graphics are known to be a inferior graphic solution and definately not meant to play GPU intensive games. Deleted your latest post as it doesn't contain anything useful. [frl]myke 14 Posted July 6, 2012 Typo fixed, of course i meant ArmA 2, not 3. It is nearly impossible to help you since you aren't able to provide any useful data that would help to solve your problem. From what we've got now, my best guess would be a cobination of crappy GPU and outdated system drivers. So the best advice i can give at this point: get a PC that can handle actual PC games, not only MS Office. Make sure you got all drivers up to date. Sorry, this isn't meant offensive, i (and all others replying so far) try our best to help you. But so far, it sounds like this: "Hello, my car makes funny noises" "Ok, how does it sound?" "Funny" "Alright, other way around: what car do you have?" "A red one" "I meant what make" "Dunno, it has 4 wheels" ... You see what i mean? :EDITH: Try to locate your arma2free.rpt (not sure if "arma2free" is correct but .rpt is): http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Crash_Files Post it here please. [frl]myke 14 Posted July 7, 2012 hmmm arma2free.cfg ..and this should us tell what? :EDITH: Seriously, you should ask someone who knows a little about PC's to assist you.
noobtuber 1 Posted July 7, 2012 lol lololololol im just saying that is the name of the file tbh your like a computer nerd -.- any ways im reinstalling see if it changes
[frl]myke 14 Posted July 7, 2012 Wrong file then, it definately should have the ending .rpt as this stands for "RePorT" and notes all error and status reports given by the game. Check the link i've posted, it says where to find said file. tbh your like a computer nerd I know. ;) Sadly you have to be a partial nerd to get things done right when it comes to bughunting.
