Sharpshooter221 1 Posted June 29, 2012 Every multiplayer server I try to join gives me the following error: Files C: Program Files/Bohemia Interactive/ArmA 2/Addons/addons.pbo are not signed by a key accepted by this server, to play on this server remove listed files or install additional accepted keys. What I don't get is addons.pbo doesn't even exist and no one else who plays has it either. I've tried reinstalling and so on, it just won't let me play. Any ideas? clowns2 10 Posted June 30, 2012 Guessing that you have ArmA 2 Vanilla Only? Contact that servers admin and see what mods/keys are required for playing. As on our server we require the cba's, asr_ai. Therefore those keys must be in your key folder to gain access to server or you will get kicked. Maybe later today we can hook up and I can work with you on one of our servers to see if we can get you going. Contact me via forums contact. Then we will post all of our findings so that if anyone else runs into this issue it should be a breeze.
Sharpshooter221 1 Posted July 1, 2012 I'm using CO + RF and ran into the issue when trying to play DayZ. It seems to have totally locked me out of all MP servers now with this same error.
Tankbuster 1747 Posted July 1, 2012 . Therefore those keys must be in your key folder to gain access to server or you will get kicked. Eh? You mean bisigns? Keys on the server, bisigns on the client.
purepassion 22 Posted July 1, 2012 I have the same problem with the BAF and PMC DLC's. The CO files etc are fine, lite version works like a drunk charm but the full version of the DLC's causes these errors.
Placebo 29 Posted July 1, 2012 I have the same problem with the BAF and PMC DLC's. They need updating too.
purepassion 22 Posted July 1, 2012 I was doing it just after I wrote and thought about the issue again ^^ Thanks for the hint Placebo, I'll report back.
Placebo 29 Posted July 1, 2012 Okies, I made the same mistake after adding in one of the DLCs and was a little thrown by the error message as well until I ran the 1.60 update again :)
purepassion 22 Posted July 1, 2012 Brothers in errors - it worked perfectly :) [sOLVED] in my case Cheers
Sharpshooter221 1 Posted July 2, 2012 So the idea is to just run the 1.60 patch again?
Placebo 29 Posted July 2, 2012 Yes. it needs to be run when you have all of A2, OA, BAF, PMC installed, if you don't have one of those but add say PMC later you will need to run 1.60 again.
Sharpshooter221 1 Posted July 2, 2012 Running the patch again seems to have fixed the issue with non-DayZ servers. The same error persists on DayZ servers however. I don't understand how a file that doesn't exist for me or anyone else could be causing so much trouble. Does anyone anywhere have an addons.pbo?
ProfTournesol 956 Posted July 2, 2012 Does anyone anywhere have an addons.pbo? Not me.
Sharpshooter221 1 Posted July 2, 2012 Well then I don't see why it should be a problem. Is there anyone from BI who might have a better insight?
Sharpshooter221 1 Posted July 3, 2012 Bumping this because this error has stopped me from playing DayZ for months now and I really need a solution before I put my fist through the screen.
purepassion 22 Posted July 3, 2012 perhaps you could search in your "Documents" Arma folder? I found some old files there when I had a problem with Blastcore.
