Add AI land for AI controlled helicopters

Please please add a command that will make an AI controlled helicopter land, and land at the spot you point to, just like a move order, but land the helicopter there instead. I can't even begin to explain, not that I should have to, how useless it is to make an AI controlled transport helicopter and try to have them come pick you up without being able to have them land. Other than that, I love this game, but not being able to have your ai land a helicopter is... well, kindof a head scratcher.

Thank you. I know there is a mod for it, but something like "move to and land" should be a native command, not something that the community needs to mod into the game. Wouldn't you agree that it makes sense to be able to order your ai to land a helicopter... probably not a bad idea to be able to order a plane to land as well. It's just always struck me as curious that something as common sense as this is not a function included in the stock game.

you can make the helicopter land by ordering the crew to disembark or ordering an external unit to board the helicopter as well.

I don't either. I was just stating that you are able to make the AI controller helicopters come pick you up if they are in your group OR if you have other group members.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, if I did. You cannot order yourself to board a vehicle though, leaving your only option as telling the crew to disembark. Anyhow, that's my suggestion.

The land command does what it should but we really need a land and wait command.

Yes I know there are scripting ways around it but there are also bugs that make it harder than it should be.

Example I wanted a chopper to just land and wait engines on.

in a script I had it land and it waited engines on and it does this and will wait forever.

I then order my group to board the chopper but as soon as they get within 20 meters the chopper takes off.

This should never of have happened as the rest of the script never executed.

I'm with you on this, but where are you finding a land command?? I know of no such command.
