scorcher24 10 Posted June 11, 2012 Title says it. Right now, I have 4 Entries for Arma 2 in my Library: Arma 2, Arma 2 OA, Arma 2 PMC, Arma 2 BAF Can't you just combine those entries into one? This way you could also get rid of all those launch options. It would require that PMC and BAF are registered as "real DLC" (technically) and not as seperate Entries. I think a lot of Steamusers would welcome that.
NeuroFunker 11 Posted June 11, 2012 i did copy arma 2 oa over arma 2 in steam, edited registry path to arma 2 oa, changed it to arma 2 path, reapplied 1.60 patch just in case, and run game via arma2oa.exe shortcut, no steam need for this. If u want i could eplain you what to edit in registry.
gunso 10 Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) Just get sixupdater, you can easily update dayz mod too using it. You will start using mods later so just use sixupdater now. http://www.six-updater.net/ Edited June 12, 2012 by gunso
160thSOAR 10 Posted June 12, 2012 What gunso said. Six Updater is where I go for all of my launching and mod-managing needs. It does basically everything for you.
scorcher24 10 Posted July 4, 2012 Six Updater does not solve the problem that Arma is a technically mess all over it and it is cluttered with Ads and a plain security risk (uses IE). The coop campaigns are not working properly, the DLC are a mess, installing mods is annoying as shit etc etc etc. I could go on like this the whole day. Just make Arma 2 CO one entry in Steam with the DLC in the DLC-Tab where they belong and implement Steam Workshop already and make Mods (de-)activatable ingame. Could be so easy to use instead of this mess we have.
