Aguacate 0 Posted June 19, 2002 I am getting my license very soon and was wondering what would be a good car to get?
habdoel 0 Posted June 19, 2002 a car that can take a lot of dammage. depends on where you live. In Belgium is the citroën ax very cheap and a very good car. It can carry up to 8 man.
cybrid 0 Posted June 19, 2002 I don't know for sure but I heard that Hyundai's are as good as most American cars (or nearly so) and they are pretty cheap. The Hyundai Tiberon is one of the coolest looking sub compacts out there and it comes with a 140hp four banger or a 170hp V-6, check it out. Just stay away from KIA. They have the absolute lowest scores in consumer reports magazine.
Aguacate 0 Posted June 19, 2002 Hyundia's seem to be pretty good cars. I live in the U.S
ralphwiggum 6 Posted June 19, 2002 FYI, Hyundai and Kia are now same company. around 1998, Kia was acquired by Hyundai. But they act independently most of the time. Where in US?
habdoel 0 Posted June 19, 2002 you can have my vw polo for 500€. I gonna buy a bmw oldtimer (2002 or 1502)
theavonlady 2 Posted June 19, 2002 Regarding Fiat, be aware that the company is currently cash strapped and losing sales. There's even talk of the Agnelli family having to sell it off to salvage the rest of Agnelli's holdings. The Korean economy is on a nice upswing and they're competitive, too. habdoel 0 Posted June 19, 2002 no pic sorry, but the police must have some if you like power, try a subaru impreza, good qualety, 4x4 and enough power.
Aguacate 0 Posted June 19, 2002 nice but a little over what I can pay for
red oct 2 Posted June 19, 2002 i would go w/ cybrid, the hyundi is the cheapest, and has the best warrenty and is built rather well. for $12,000 you get side and front airbags, cruise control, air conditioning, and maybe for a hundred more a CD player. just think you may get all that standard from a BMW or a Jag, but you would pay $34,000 instead $12,000 not to mention they get the best gas miles. hyundi is the best economy car there is. Aguacate 0 Posted June 19, 2002 thanks. some of the delaers I've seen have had some very good deals on em' lately. I'll look into the Hyundai's
Hilandor 1 Posted June 19, 2002 a good cheap car i would say would be a ford ford have good engines but bodywork can get shabby quick vauxalls i find are also good but engine can need a good bit work now and again peugot one of the best cars i ever had i had it over a year and cant remember having to lift the bonnet on it, it sailed thru an MOT ( british yearly check to see if car is safe) it was a small 1.1 205 cheap car to run cheap for parts and cheap insurance asain cars i.e honda hyundia etc i tend to find in UK are very expensive for parts although are nice cars Fiats are minging horrible crappy cars stay away
Renagade 0 Posted June 19, 2002 I think vauxhalls are rebranded as opels outside the UK as over in europe all the vauxhall models are called opels instead
Die Alive 0 Posted June 19, 2002 Just do like in GTA 3. Jog into the middle of a street. Wait for a car to come by (not a SUV, mini van, or one of those god awful crappy cars) and when the car stops, walk over the the driver side, open the door, pull the driver out (luckily, they don't have seat belts so it's rather easy) and get into the car. Now if you don't want any witnesses, wait for the driver to stand up, reverse a bit and waste him with your Mac-10 (or whatever sub machine gun that is). Enjoy your new wheels. -=Die Alive=-
FetishFool 0 Posted June 19, 2002 For best bang-for-the-buck, you can't beat a used Honda Civic. Sporty, and highly modifiable. The Hyndai Tiberon is great for looks and speed. But getting a fast car is just another reason to get a speeding ticket.

It's what everyone said about Honda in the late 70's I've got two friends with Korean cars...one with a Tiburon and one with a KIA. They are really well built and run very good. I wouldnt exactly call them crap. OLD Hyundai...well..*cough*shit*cough* But in the last few years they really have managed to acheive some respectability. RedRogue 0 Posted June 20, 2002 My Dodge Neon gets me around just fine. Haven't had a problem in 55000 miles yet that wasn't covered under warranty or recall. Oh, if anyone here does by chance buy a Neon. Get ride of those *** **** Goodyear Eagle GA tires ASAP. Several people I know and myself have had accidents because those tires are the worst wet weather tires I've ever had. There where times I couldn't touch the brakes on a flat road that was wet with those things without locking the wheels.
Aguacate 0 Posted June 20, 2002 What about Toyota's?
ralphwiggum 6 Posted June 20, 2002 since we don't knoe your objective it's hard to tell. if you want bang-for-buck, as someone said, choose Japanese. if you want cheap but fun, get either US or Korean cars. but since you are 16, let me warn you that driving is not for entertainment. you are driving a 2ton of metal. I never got in an accident, but almost got in several times. and I didn't drive until recently, after passing my 21st b-day.
Hardliner 0 Posted June 20, 2002 If you want something nice and cheap just get a Trabant No need for fuel! Just don't bump into anything!
