EveronVetsAgainstTheWar 1 Posted June 17, 2002 Once I was fishing in Lake Guntersville, Alabama and I swear I caught one this big (Hands stretched as far as they can go) But the line broke and it got away
Jester983 0 Posted June 17, 2002 I remeber one time i was fishing and I had a bite. Well, i reeled it in and my dad was taking out the hook when suddenly i said "OH shit! I got another one." Now i know you're thinking "HUH? wtf how is that possible?" Turns out the first fish i caught had another hook in its mouth and on the other line there was a fish. So we brought them both in... Decent size too. Just made me laugh cause imagine those 2 trying to get away from it other.

Well, that's what we call them here, I'm not sure if that's the 'official' name for them though. They were about 8-10 inches long, not too big. Not bad for my first real fishing experience though, from that point on I used worms, no more lures. Tyler

I fish a lot, both fly and regular. and the only advice that i have is to be patient. patience is the best quality a fisherman has. i also deep sea fish in the Gulf. But my best experience fishing, was on the great barrier reef in australia. I highly recommend it as a vacation spot.
FetishFool 0 Posted June 17, 2002 I was using my Nasty Boy as a lure, and a 6ft Ugly Stick rod with my heavy-duty Shimano w/ 9lb line. I was reeling in, and suddently I felt a snag. I thought I hit a branch or something so I reeled in harder. Then I saw it; It was a HUGE Pike. I caught it by snagging my lure's hooks into it's head. The Pike was dead when it got into the boat, so we kept it. It was at least 15lbs.
red oct 2 Posted June 17, 2002 anyone ever go shark fishing? after when they real it in close to the boat they use something i think is called a "bang stick" which is this long metal poll that breaks in half like a shot gun and you put a shot gun shell in and it fires when you jam it into the shark there by killing it and allowing you to haul it in. I remeber they caught a little shark but i forget the name of it. They said it was fun and the shark was quite good. Anyone know what lures work good for Trout? red oct 2 Posted June 17, 2002 they have some very high tech lures that give off some kinda ultra sonic sound that attracts fish, but i have a feeling it doesnt work well. fly fishing looks kinda fun, just so long as you dont hook somebody accidently.
