bongo0310 1 Posted March 7, 2012 If this needs to go into a different section please tell me. I have the trackir 5 with a trackclip pro. For some reason when I look behind me and try to zoom in, or even to the side of me, it won't let me. It will only allow me to zoom if I am facing straight ahead. Is there any way I can change this? Or is that just the way it is.
liquidpinky 11 Posted March 12, 2012 I have no problem zooming in no matter where I am facing, I have zoom unassigned from TrackIR and on one of my mouse keys instead. You should be able to zoom in and out easily enough with plus and minus on the keyboard numpad as well. Most be something in your control setup causing you the bother. liquidpinky 11 Posted March 13, 2012 Oh I was using the trackir zoom. not the mouse or keyboard. Thank you very much! I found the TrackIR zoom to be too twitchy, especially when trying to do other things at the same time. I find it can be tricky sometimes in Take On Helis with the 6DOF movement too, trying to do to many things at once can get you in a mess.

I did too until I discovered the Sensitivity parameter. Since lowering it from "Precision" (default setting) to "Normal", my TiR 5 is butter smooth

Tankbuster 1747 Posted March 25, 2012 I love the TIR zoom. Even when playing as infantry, it's great. You can zoom in and out just by leaning into the monitor. It's not quite as good as the optics view, but amost while saving the time going into optics.
