sv5000 127 Posted March 5, 2012 Hi gurus. I did a search but found not answers. I am playing around with the bis m4 aimpoint model and I am having issues with changes that I make not showing up in the pilot view. I am used to simply pasting in any changes I make into the pilot lod view and its all good. But due to the sxc aimpoint pilot model, these old tricks arnt working. If i copy in the aimpoint model from the pilot lod it doesn't work as the bracket is solid filled and you cant see thru it anymore. Any advice?
max power 21 Posted March 5, 2012 It's (likely) an alpha sorting problem. You need to sort out the faces with alpha textures in the aimpoint sight. A picture would help.
sv5000 127 Posted March 5, 2012 ok, regardless of what changes I make, this is what I see in my viewpilot lod If i attempt to add any of the model changes to it, it simply does not show up in this view, any ideas?
max power 21 Posted March 5, 2012 Oh, so the bracket you're talking about is the selection marquis? That's weird. I don't think I've seen this behaviour before.
roberthammer 582 Posted March 5, 2012 sv5000 - you can easy fix it - by exporting the whole model , select export > Universal Bistudio TXT and save it as .txt file Then easy import it , import > Universal Bistudio TXT , select that .txt file that you saved before and done (everything should be ok) :)
max power 21 Posted March 5, 2012 Except the named properties (if there are any). They won't be kept.
sv5000 127 Posted March 6, 2012 (edited) ok, will give it a shot RH. and thanks for the heads up Max. *** Gave it a shot and appears to have fixed the issue, not sure on the named properties bit, but that will become evident later on down the path i expect ;) Edited March 6, 2012 by sv5000
max power 21 Posted March 6, 2012 I think typically, weapons have the named property autocenter 0 in all LODs and lodnoshadow 1 in the non shadow lods.
