I've been working on this for a long time and i think it's ready to be played! The mission is very "easy", advance and secure all locations on the maps. There are several features in the mission, but the most important is that you can SAVE your mission and then LOAD the game on a dedicated server. (Sorry for my english :P) Let's take a look at all the features! ;) Features: - SL can buy vehicles and weapons. - SL can save the game. - AI numbers based on players number. - Hostile civilians - In the vanilla version the M136 doesn't need ammo (thank you Pogoman) - =BTC= Logistic in the vanilla version. You can set via param: - date - view distance and terrain detail - Budget - Enemy units type - Enemy artillery - AI skill (disabled if you're using ASR_AI) - Select your start location or pick it randomly - Get the closer location as first city or pick it randomly - Players markers (Vanilla version) - Load the game (if available) - Wounding System or BON_Inf injury system (ACE version) - Life time (ACE version) How to save the game and then load it: When you're in game use your "Radio Alpha" (0-0-1) to save the game, then open your RPT file. I don't know about AC130 gunship script, i have to take a look at it! What do you mean with "lift-chopper"? Did you play the ACE version or the vanilla version? giallustio 770 Posted January 31, 2012 Well...Buy a CH47 then buy a rope box and i think you can lift with the ropes...If it doesn't work tell me and i'll look into this ;) From ACE WAGN: For best results try in a multiplayer game. Important notes: - In the latest change to the sling loading system, ropes are attached to the object you want to slingload, not the helicopter. - Slinging loads has to be executed by ground personnel. Equip yourself with a slingrope. Go to a vehicle or object you want to sling. Press the interaction menu key. Select "Attach slingrope" (This will tie the slingrope to the vehicle or object). When a helicopter with cargo capabilities is available and hovering close enough over the 'cargo object', press interaction menu key again and select "Hook slingrope" (This will attach the slingrope to the cargo hook of the helicopter). Object can now be transported. Pilot will have the ability to release the cargo at the destination All actions have to be executed by ground personnel. There is no magic flyover-hookup cargo loading. Also, as out teammate proved, it's easy to port to the other island - and that's great. But, there's two things which I seriously dislike and think it should be improved. First: all of the enemy units are moving, like they are... I don't know. But it's shouldn't be like that. I'd imagine it should go like that - 1 bigger unit defending* the given objective (a village for example) - 1 bigger unit available as "QRF" ("GUARD" waypoint) - 1 smaller unit available as "QRF" (same as above) - 2 smaller units defending* the given objective (within bigger radius then the bigger unit, but also close to the objective.) - few smaller units as patrols (adjustable enemy strenght would be good, there's some script for it on armaholic afair, or you can do it through the mp params) *UPSMON would be good for it, but I think it can be achieved by waypoints and editor commands too Now everything is moving and I guess You can hardly say they are "defending" something, plus it looks a little stupid, like a big migration. Also, the units seems to be set in "fire at will" mode, but WITHOUT "engage at will". Which makes them shoot, but only between moving senslessly back and forth. They hardly or even never assault you or retreat. Changing the mentioned will greatly improve mission gameplay and atmosphere. Second thing: ACE version should also have standard A2/OA ammoboxes (apart from ACE ones), because the ACE ammunition boxes have only like... 16 extra mags? Also, it would be lovely if You would make a Duala version, with rebels, for example. As you said, it's very easy to port on another island, just modify the mission.sqm file. But, there's two things which I seriously dislike and think it should be improved. I'll test it in the next version. Personally i play the mission with the ASR_AI, so AI groups use radio and move together. (adjustable enemy strenght would be good, there's some script for it on armaholic afair, or you can do it through the mp params) AI strenght it's already based on players number, i'll tweak it in the next version. *UPSMON would be good for it, but I think it can be achieved by waypoints and editor commands too I like very much UPSMON but it's a lot of stress for the server, especially for this kind of mission. It's a little stupid how the AI defend too :D just stand up in the middle of the road...I don't know :) Also, the units seems to be set in "fire at will" mode, but WITHOUT "engage at will". I used the BIS patrol function, but i already replaced that with mine custom function. Second thing: ACE version should also have standard A2/OA ammoboxes (apart from ACE ones), because the ACE ammunition boxes have only like... 16 extra mags? I'll add them in the next version :) Also, it would be lovely if You would make a Duala version, with rebels, for example. It' already available a Duala version, but with no Molatian army yet. If you wanna modify the mission and customize the costruction menu, don't use a long description name. Does it work with ACE mission? The pbo file must be where on server, in MPMissions? Or root? Else? We put it in mpmissions. Does it have to have the header and footer you mention in your first post? Or it may be just the part cut&pasted from RPT? Does any other parameter in "Parameters" needs to be set somehow to load a savegame? Apart from "Load Savegame" parameter itself? For the next step i use "cpbo", so right click on the folder and "create PBO" option. Upload the pbo on the server and load the pbo like a mod. So you should have in the server exe something like this -mod=@CBA;@ACE;@=BTC=_load_game; You can change param like revive, view distance but the important stuff like money, city captured and start location will be set by the server from the previous save game. Then lift the container and choose your new fob location (more then 300 mt from prevoius fob). When you're ready use the action "mount fob" at the container. SL can't create a new conteiner if one has been created and it's "alive", use the action "delete container" to delete the old container. Tell me if you find any bug, so i can fix it!
