Sniperwolf572 758 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) Hi guys. Been working on this for the past week, and I think it's good enough for now to present it. What is it? ArmA::Log To keep it short, it's a web app built on PHP and CodeIgniter and an optional Chrome extension which will keep you updated on the new beta builds. Originally the idea was just to have the Chrome extension and have a place on the web to crawl and store latest beta build number and it's time of release, but it kinda got out of hand and turned into a little web app aswell. :p Planned features that are coming soon are an RSS feed so that you can, for example, get latest info in your Google Reader or something and a detailed view for each changelog stored. In case you're paranoid, the source code for the extension is available on GitHub. Apologies in advance if the site gets a bit slow, it's hosted on a shared cloud on PHPFog (hence a bit lengthy URL), maybe I'll find a better place for it in the future. Anyways, I'd love to hear what you think about it and if you've got any suggestions or more questions about it. .kju 3244 Posted December 22, 2011 thanks for the RSS feed!
vipermaul 246 Posted January 4, 2012 The RSS feed is sweet indeed. The chrome desktop notification even when my browsers are not running is very sweet too! I will use both tools. Thanks!

Sniperwolf572 758 Posted January 22, 2012 Cron job for the crawler got deactivated for some reason in the last week so if you're getting a notification/updates just now about a build from a few days ago, that would be me fixing it. Apologies. :(
Sniperwolf572 758 Posted May 11, 2012 Links in the RSS feed have been fixed. Your RSS feed will probably get refreshed with 10 old build entries, you can just ignore them. Sorry! :(
Sniperwolf572 758 Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) Some updates were done today and now ArmA::Log looks better and is easier to read and use "on the go" on smaller screen devices such as phones and tablets. Also for that one guy with a 800x600 CRT. For a preview, here's how it looks on my phone: (Click for even larger image) Edited June 7, 2012 by Sniperwolf572
Sniperwolf572 758 Posted June 27, 2012 You can now add comments to the individual builds. New hot undocumented feature in the newest build? BattleEye support? Build messed up? You can finally disable blur without a signed addon? Anything everyone needs to know about the build on the first glance that can't be crawled? Please do tell everyone. :)
Sniperwolf572 758 Posted November 13, 2012 Sad news everyone, Due to PHPFog's impending removal from existence, ArmA::Log site will be shutting down it's operations (including the Chrome extension and RSS feeds). The site was running on PHPFog's free plan, which means that it will go down on 21st December 2012. I suppose that it's only appropriate that I share some very humble stats with you for the last year. I'm going to be running data backups soon, so if anyone is willing to offer no-strings-attached hosting services with Git deployment capabilities for this app, feel free to drop me a PM.
