Help With Editor

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Newbie to this forum here all I would like is some explanations and help with a couple questions.

First off in Singleplayer/Scenario/My Missons/New Mission/Defender/BLUFOR/Edit Mission Settings (to be exact) from inside the game how can you make unlimited or more groups of any unit in that particular editor because it limits me to 1 group with so many units and 2 OPFOR groups which can contain so many units I believe the max being 12 units a side. Why would I like it to be in that specific editor well it has preprogrammed AI that fight for the bunker defend position or whatever it is you want to call it.

If that is not possible how can I use a file I've made in that editor and then place it into the Singleplayer/Editor/Chernarus so I have the units with the script to attack the defend position and the script to defend the position being I assume that, that editor allows me to import more units on each side.

I'm mainly interested in this to just have the units have a huge war for the fun of it. Oh and maybe to make it more enjoyable what is a script or command that can make me either invincible or invisible so if I wish I can just go and observe the action and join in if I want.

Thank you, Powermaniac

For your first question, I think you will need to find the mission in your "Missions" folder in the ArmA directory, then dePBO it and put it in the folder C:\Users\Powermaniac\My Documents\Arma 2\Powermaniac\Missions\1st Mission (assuming Powermaniac is your user name, and you are using Windows 7) if any of these folders don't exist you may need to make them. Then you should be able to open it in game in Single Player\Editor.

To make your player invincible I think you can just put "this allowDamage false" in his init line

...The files save as ARMA2WIZARDMISSIONFILE...not pbo...so that link you posted Gunter Severloh doesn't make much sense to me...

Thats because you have used the Wizard to make some mini-missions.

Its a mini editor.

To do what you want you need to use the full game editor.

Select "Single Player" > "Editor".
