LBGS_Stewart 0 Posted June 5, 2002 sorry to ruen your "bug" but its actuly not a bug. its always been like that and it should always be like that if an foe is in a friendly truck the name will show up as green. people shouldnt rely on the "tag" when playing, i seen alot of frindly kills because the person said "the tag didnt come up so i thought you where the other side" so its not a bug sorry to say

Mister Frag 0 Posted June 5, 2002 Friendly fire is a fact of life -- if people shoot indiscriminantly at anything that moves, you need to play with a different crowd.
SKULLS_Viper 0 Posted June 5, 2002 hehe, in real life war, the enemy is in front of you, the friends on your side and behind you, so you shoot at any thing that runs in front of you.
Lt_Damage 0 Posted June 6, 2002 In a perfect world that would be war. Friendly fire was quite common in veitnam.
jawk2 1 Posted June 6, 2002 It remember me the murphy's law of the soldier given with the half life manual: "If the ennemy will miss u, your teammate will not" "The friendly bullet is always prioritize"
Tom Gore 0 Posted June 6, 2002 It is pretty hard to avoid friendly fire completetly. However, well organized troops rarely get in positions where they might be mistaken as an enemy. It's all about training and playing as a team. When we play as a squad against mixed enemies, they usually get a lot more friendly kills than we do.

But what help are tags, when you can't rely on them?! For realism turn them off, but otherwise they should destinct between friend and foe, no matter what vehicles they use... KaRRiLLioN 0 Posted June 6, 2002 If it's on Cadet mode with Enemy and Friendly Tags ON, then no matter what vehicle a player is in, they will appear Green to friendlies and Red to enemies. Sometimes when you're very far away you might get a false green or red, but not once you get within "identify" distance. For Cadet mode with Enemy tags OFF, Friendly tags ON, then if a friendly is in an enemy vehicle, he will show up RED. If anyone is in a civilian vehicle, they will show up as WHITE, and an enemy in a friendly vehicle will show up as GREEN. This is realistic, and actually very cool. You can use this to sneak into enemy bases. However, if an enemy opens fire and kills someone, then the tag color will change, normally. An interesting thing is that in Cadet mode with all tags ON, AI shilkas and vulcans won't normally fire on an enemy who is in a Cessna, even though they show up as red on the radar.
