Guest Posted November 10, 2011 hi everybody,Where can I find the official OA gamefiles for installing a linux server? On the DVD which you bought. Or, if you bought a digital version in the folder you saved the game to. The game files are the serverfiles! Meaning you need to upload/copy the full game folder to your server. chief_newgin 10 Posted November 10, 2011 ok and that means if i bought this game for your own, you can use all files for your server as well?

gossamersolid 155 Posted November 10, 2011 Should be something BIS takes into account for ArmA 3, it's a pain in the ass to get all that data to a server (unless you have a VDS/Dedi) It'd be great to have standalone server files.
Tankbuster 1747 Posted November 10, 2011 Goss is right. It's all very well dismissing our queries with 'your game files are your server files' but remember that us dedicated server owners have to get all that data from our gaming pc to a remote server. eddieck 10 Posted November 17, 2011 It isn't ideal, but you can download and install the game on EC2 and upload to your server from there. It will only cost you $5 at most to download and transfer a full CO installation to a server. (The actual amount should be less, but it depends on the data transfer.) maddogx 13 Posted November 17, 2011 If you have a Windows server and bought the game via Sprocket, you can simply download the sprocket files directly from the server, install the game there and then run the dedi.exe - this also allows easy installation of beta patches. :) EDIT: I do agree though, having the relevant data files in an online repository would be ideal for server owners.
