fboes 10 Posted October 25, 2011 I love the startup-sequence, it really let's you feel like you are a helicopter pilot. Well, and it is easier than with the Black Shark. :) Battery, rotor-brake, starter & throttle settings are safely mapped to my stick & throttle. But it seems that some switches from the cockpit (ATC, anti-collision lights, music, …) are only controllable via mouse. Am I missing something? Did someone find a way to map these to keyboard- / joystick-commands? Oh, but I did find the landing lights: "L" as in lights. :)

fboes 10 Posted October 26, 2011 Yeah, I thought so too. ;) But where & how? Or do you mean hand-coding my configuration files? :)

Or do you mean hand-coding my configuration files? :) Erm deleted my beta now, but if i remember correctly was in either options, or player profile > controls, then just look for the keys you want and manually assign them :)
fboes 10 Posted October 27, 2011 Yo, that's the way I assigned like most of my keys with; sorry I did not mention that fact. :) But for ATC, music and anti-collision lights - they don't show up in "Controls". But never mind - hopefully in the final version there will be a way to map these actions.

armored_sheep 56 Posted October 27, 2011 But for ATC, music and anti-collision lights - they don't show up in "Controls". There are even more 3D actions available in game that dont have keys yet in controls. For example in SUV car we made some too. One can expect that comunity will configure more user 3D actions in their various vehicle "cockpits". Anyway we will consider which helicopter actions might be added also to controls keys. CarlGustaffa 4 Posted October 27, 2011 Before "anything can be mapped" I'd like to see some sort of filter function in the mapping dialog, where you can filter one side for keys involved (i.e. Shift or w), and the other side for keywords involved (i.e. collision or run), that updates the list as you type into the fields, as it's getting awfully congested in there already. One thing is setting it up for yourself. Something else is trying to instruct new or unfamiliar people to setup certain controls.

Something else is trying to instruct new or unfamiliar people to setup certain controls. Full ACK on this one. Maybe some kind of searchfield, where you can enter a function-name (like "rotor" giving me "rotor brake, etc"), and the opportunity to just press a key to let you jump to the corresponding function. And it would be cool to just click on the key-collision-warning to jump to the collision-function to un-map the key. But anyway: After re-mapping my old Black Shark twice, I can endure configuring my little bird. :)
