Weird freezes

Hello everyone

My game will freeze on Start up, each freeze is 5+ minutes it also freezes when i click any button on menu or when i pause while ingame or open my map, it happens on both Arma 2 and OA

PC specs:

NVIDIA GeForce GTS 240

Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz

4gb ram

Window vista 64bit

Check the temperatures of your CPU, and graphics card, sounds like CPU overheating.

what is your target line for when you launch the game?

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\arma2.exe"

I think thats the one your asking for, i dont usually have any problems with games

Both cores are staying around 44C

and both graphic cards are around 65C except one card had a spike up to 78C the other stayed around 65C

Ok, after the exe in your target line what do you have?

any mods you are running, or you just playing the vanilla game and this is happening?

you check for virus, spyware, defrag, registry errors, file alignment, system clutter, ect,. weird freezes can be many things if the temps are good.

update dx, update drivers.

btw: what do you mean by both GFX cards? You only got one posted (gts 240)

I have 2 graphics card

Just vanilla and just downloaded

As Pufu had said update your direct X, and see if that changes anything.

I updated both drivers and direct X, Still no change
