tomasbisciak 10 Posted July 20, 2011 Hello, I received INVALID CD KEY from purchased game on steam. When i try to activate my game it says CD KEY is invalid ... . I tryed to redownload game and also run steam as admin and verify integrity of game cache, and i have all premissions for steam allowed .... didnt help..Im running on OS WIN7 SERVICE PACK 1. its any way how can i activate my game?.. Nicholas 5 Posted July 20, 2011 First, send a message to Placebo. Also send him your key, he can check if keys are valid at all. tomasbisciak 10 Posted July 21, 2011 instalation was automaticly .. bud when i try to activate my game it says i have not vaild cd key .. cd key was copyed from >right lick on game in game library>show cd key>copty cd key to clypboard> and then paste .. probably stem gives me wrong key... i can play game bud i cant join any server on the internet... That's funny, because when you purchase ArmA from Steam (Almost any game, actually), it automatically puts the serial into the registry and does the installation/activation process for you. You shouldn't have entered the key anywhere, because as I said it does it automatically. At this point, there is absolutely nothing that anyone here can do, except check if the key is legit. As I've stated, you need to be contacting Steam. What's your Steam account? I'll add you as a friend and we can talk through this... GhostFaceChiller, if you would have thoroughly read the original post, you would have read that he tried running it as administrator. GhostFaceChiller 10 Posted July 21, 2011 That's a typical game behavior of not starting as administrator, so probably a problem with BattleEye. Starting the game as administrator should install BattleEye and then he should connect to a server. He can also try to connect to a server with no BattleEye to see if it is really BattleEye's fault, if so reinstalling it can help. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Nicholas 5 Posted July 21, 2011 BattlEye is in no way linked to the activation system. BattlEye is not causing any of this. A reinstallation won't fix it either. As I said, he needs to contact Placebo to check the validity of his key. If it is not valid, then he needs to contact Steam and let them know that he was given an invalid key for the game. Dwarden 1125 Posted July 22, 2011 as explained in STEAM support FAQ and on STEAM forums and these forums 0. restart PC (radical but helps in some specific cases) 1. exit STEAM 2. start STEAM via "run as administrator" option by right clicking on the steam icon) 3. run OA if 3. fail then 4. change download server in 'settings > download' 5. repeat steps 1 and 2 6. validate file cache of OA 7. run OA again also if you have some security suite i suggest to disable it temporarily for the first run/install Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Toto som skusal bolo to medzi prvimi vecmi co mi radili ludia zo steamu taktiez prepisovanie prav v registroch teda povolovanie prav pre steam atd. skusal som aj zmenit stahovaci server hru som uz stiahol niekolko krat aj som preinstaloval steam nic nepomohlo stale mi pise se kluc je neplatny ale dakujem za tvoju reakciu kazda pomoc sa mi zide. Dwarden 1125 Posted July 22, 2011 zkusil jsi zmenit ten server pro stahovani ? restartni STEAM a pak v seznamu her oznac ARMA 2 a dej prave tlacitko a zvol 'View gameCD key' (nepostuj ho tady, jen jestli vidis klic) to same zkus pro ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead pokud zadny klic nevidis, tak to je problem se STEAM aktivacnim serverem, ktery ti neprideluje klic z nejakeho duvodu kdyztak mi klidne napis i na STEAMu pres chat Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
