noubernou 77 Posted July 11, 2011 I would like to see some more powerful debug tools added to A3 (and while you are at it, VBS2 :p). A debugger would be nice, DBG style. The ability to halt execution of the engine, stack traces, watches, eval, etc. Of course you would have to limit this somehow to not being used in MP, maybe a separate debug executable that can't do MP, or can only connect to debug enabled servers (because MP testing is a big thing too). Right now its hard to trace issues when you have thousands of lines of code spread across multiple packages. :( Hopefully... :p

noubernou 77 Posted July 11, 2011 I can see this probably be worth more to people doing VBS2 work probably... (or at least willing to pay for the investment BIS makes).
.kju 3245 Posted July 11, 2011 Yes please. To save time is the most essential topic for modding.
gossamersolid 155 Posted July 15, 2011 I don't want description.ext errors to crash my game anymore BIS... if the mission can't load, don't load it. Just keep me in the editor with a blank mission instead. It's such a pain in the ass to be missing a bracket and for the game to crash on mission load. I know there are tools out there to help debug, but I would like to see this right in the game.

wamingo 1 Posted July 18, 2011 I don't want description.ext errors to crash my game anymore BIS... snip 100% agreed. I barely ever experiment with anything in the description.ext because of that nonsense.
