I Depbo'd your mission PBO file but I could not successfully decompress you Mission.SQM file, which has some reference to "BB004".

What did you compress Mission.SQM with?

I just rand Windows File Find and scanned all of OFP's files for text "bb004". Other than this mission's PBO and the PBO of a mission called Spearhead, nothing was found.

I was able to decrypt the mission.sqm with

OFPEC unpack-sqm.exe

That mystical "bb004" seems to be a resistance soldier.

No one appreciated the story of the mission? It's gonna be a campaign following the story of Phillip Reynolds.

I'm Keenan Weaver, I am thinking of what is the next mission idea.

Reminds me of:

"I'm William Shatner. On tonight's Rescue 911.."

No, seriously, if you want me to make more missions,

I'm all ears.

Latest version, and last version, I hope, is here:

lost_contact.zip.

(File size = ~38K)

Source files to mission are here.

Custom voices could be added, though..

Hi,

I had the same problem earlier this week!

You need the gunslingers addon 1.2

bbb004 is the Militia guy.

If it were so, wouldn't the addon name be in the

"addons" class in mission.sqm?

Earlier this week I had to completely uninstall and reinstall  flashpoint and also I removed all my addons, A Virgin installation!!!

When I tried to go back into the mission I'm creating I had the bbb004 error, I know this guy is named Milita from the 'Resistannce, Men' menu, but he wasn't in the menu anymore.

I installed Gunslingers upgrade1.02 and then checked in the menu and he was there again and my mission would run.

I will check tonight by removing Gunslingers upgrade and hopefully prove my theory, of course I could be talking complete rubbish, so if anyone knows for sure where bbb004 comes from then I'd like to know.

Thanks  biggrin.gif

in the past i've noticed the same problem as FallenPalladin described.

I have some suspisions about what's causing this nasty problem:

1. It might have something to do with having non .pbo files in your addon directory, why i have no clue, but when i noticed that ofp would crash getting rid of these files always made things work again. (you don't actualy need non .p3d files in your addon directory)

2. I alsoo noticed this problem when installing gunslingers unoficial editing addon. I'm not sure if it was causing it, but i haven't noticed this problem recently, this might be due to the fact that I installed the fix for that buggy addon.

you can get it here:

ofpec

I think the first

Ok its definite!

I removed Gunslingers addon (EditorUpgrade102.pbo) from my addons folder went in and yes 'bbb004 error' again, also under

the Men, Resistance menu there was no Civilian Militia guy!

Added the 'EditorUpgrade102.pbo' back into Addons and  tested.

No errors & the Civilian Militia guys were back in the menu!!

I hope this helps everybody  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

So...

Finally it worked and I was able to play your mission smile.gif

I liked the intro, especially the sequence in which the camera moves through the window at the US officer. That`s great camera work!! The only thing I didn`t liked that much were the five guys around the fire, when they were attacked by the BMP. The sat ducks and let themselves shoot without reaction.

I was this weekend on a lake swimming and I guess the sun burned too much of my head. Read...

I entered the village carefully hill-upwards. When I heard the BMP I got prone and after that equipped my LAW. Took aim over the top of the hill and fired...

"Oh no, 1 is down... Oh no, 7 is down..." After that I heard a MG and fired into it`s direction. The MG stopped shooting... "Oh no, ... is down..."

I accidentaly killed half of my group...

After that I continued fighting until I got message "All down", but the last guy blew me away.

It`s a fun mission, I`ll give it some more tries tounge.gif
