Strange food

Recommended Posts

I saw a program last night about some people in France, they ate some snails.

It was gross, I nearly puked. I saw this little girl stick her fork in the snail shell and out came this un-identified substance which she then put in her mouth.

I'm a fussy eater, but I could eat any mamal meat apart from human. Whale, Bear, Moose I wouldnt mind eating it if I was starving or just for some strange perversion of eating something exotic.

I have seen people in New Guinea eating stuff like giant tarantulas etc. They stick it in their mouth and you can see a hairy leg hanging out... I dont mind mamal meat but I really dont like eating bug like stuff. I dont even like eating lobsters and shrimp bkus imho they are just aquatic bugs.

I havent had the experiance of eating anything strange but I was wondering, seeing as we have a wide range of people from various countries. What strange food have you peoples eaten?

I had snails before, they arn't bad. Kinda bland though. They were called escargots or something like that.

But I would NEVER eat tarantulas, spiders or ANY bugs. I would rather starve.

The only bug kind of thing that I would eat is earth worms.

Only because they look real plump and juicy.

I eat lobsters and crabs too, because they taste good and I love sea food.

I've eater Ostrich before, but they are pretty common I guess.

I've also eaten rabbit, but that's also pretty normal.

Are squirrels edible?

I always wanted to try rhino or elaphant meat. And before I die, I want to try some human, atleast just once. Just as long as they are not ugly or deformed.

I've eaten a lot of strange things. But live monkey brains is something that I'd never want to try.

I saw people eating it no The Worst of Faces of Death. And I enjoyed the killing of the monkey, but not the eating of it.

I've eaten brains of mammals before, and I know that the texture of it is disgusting. It's like a hard paste, with a strong after-taste.

I've eaten things from fried bottles to choco-flies.

When you go to India, you'll see entire neigborhoods that live off eating insects. And they do a pretty good job of choco-fying them, too.

I've eaten snails when I was in Atlantic City in New Jersey. They were pretty damn good!

I had a Chilean friend whose family used to eat stingray. I ate it a few times...like fish with rubbery bones.

I've also eaten kangaroo, my national icon. Very tasty meat, I must say.

One of the strangest things I got served was a calamari (squid) burger...with beetroot!

I'm also wanting to try crocodile, emu, snake, fried grasshoppers, horse meat and others....

I've eaten kangaroo tail. I remember when I was eating it, someone mentioned that baby kangaroo is also eaten.

It's one thing to eat a kangaroo's tail. But to eat it's baby?

Like geez.

The tail wasn't bad. It had a strong taste, the the some of the fur was still on it.

I to have had Kangaroo, it was shit. Also if you have ever shot one and cut it up you will never eat it again the 3 foot worms that live in them (and yes they are in all roos) are the most disgusting thing I have ever seen, I get a kick out of watching my cousin cut them up in his butcher shop for the Tourists smile.gif

Haha she must feel special.

You normally couldn't pay a guy $1 000 000 to do that.

I accidently licked my finger when it was covered in the 'sauce'.

I puked for 3 hours. Not because it was gross, but because my stomache didn't like it.

I think I heard the best sex is during the girl's 'time'.

Yeah, I've heard some gross stuff on this forum, and that just about tops it, next to the ass-hair thread and dolphin sex.

LOL

I have never eaten anything that would be considered strange or from another culture. I had venecin once, but that was it.

The grossest thing that I ate in recent memory would have to be a 'Joe Louis' that was moldy on the inside. It tasted like Banana.

For the Europeans here: A 'Joe Louis' is a small round chocolate cake snack that is filled with white cream. YUM. tounge.gif
