Meanstreak 10 Posted May 22, 2011 It is possibleto do this now you just give him the command to disembark and he will land
.Taffy 10 Posted May 22, 2011 But what if you just want him to put down and keep the engines running?
msy 22 Posted May 22, 2011 Order the AI pilot to keep hovering at a specific height is more practical.
Tonmeister 14 Posted May 22, 2011 It is possibleto do this now you just give him the command to disembark and he will land yeah, but ai either lands on either one of the following: 1. a tree 2. a building 3. flatground.. 500m away and is surrounded by opfor 4. a tree, then a building and finally puts down a damaged chopper only to be surrounded by opfor, just so you can be extracted to safety. -DirTyDeeDs--Ziggy- 0 Posted May 22, 2011 (edited) give the pilot a waypoint to an area you think he can land; ie, a clear spot. before the unit reaches the waypoint, tell that unit to disembark. they will go the waypoint, land and get out. enemy units in the area will affect the pilots behavior and may interfere. Baron von Beer 0 Posted May 22, 2011 Yes but there's still no reason not to be able to do F2, land, click on screen or map. Done, no dancing through hoops, clear procedure, clear effect. No need to then babysit the pilot to get him back IN the helo, start up the engines, etc. Get down, get the guys on, get out of dodge.
