Lt_Damage 0 Posted May 19, 2002 Ok, you all know what this is about. OFP has no support for showing who is using the mic. I have just had to admin a server all day, listening to some idiot abuse me and the other players. To say the least I am not happy. You know what we want implemented, it is available in other games. Please consider this. Thankyou.
amos m 0 Posted May 19, 2002 I think if you're admin you can tell who's using the mic. If you hit P you can see a list of all the players, and I think that you can see who's using the mic in there. I may be wrong though. Anyway, the Resistance addon with new network code is due out next month. I would say that if it's not already there it will be in this addon. Lt_Damage 0 Posted May 21, 2002 Hmmm, no comments.. My only option so far is to upgrade the server to the 1.55 netcode when it is released, which does not support ingame voice.
Angry Radish 0 Posted May 21, 2002 We just have the ingame voice disabled, and host 3 RW channels on a seperate server. VoiceOverNet = False Shame though, becasue the ingame quality is ok, and the ability to use sidechannels, etc..is great, just too many kids spamming comms... Lt_Damage 0 Posted May 22, 2002 So that goes in the server.cfg or the user cfg?
Tylerb59 0 Posted May 22, 2002 Hmmm... How do you use a microphone with OFP? Do you have to use a 3rd party program (roger wilco) or is there one built in? Anyone able to explain?
Lt_Damage 0 Posted May 22, 2002 Ingame voice support can be enabled by using the Operationflashpoint preferences. Select Voice Setup, run through the setup, and voice support will be enabled for you. You may also leave it disabled, and use Roger Wilco or another 3rd party software.
