Problem with the 1.18 version

Hey guys,

So recently Ive been playing alot of Arma (steam version) and I ran the game perfectly fine on my computer. I updated to version 1.18 to play with this clan I joined but now the game doesnt work at all, Ive been having the same problem as a bunch of people who use windows 7 64bit in which the game just goes to a black screen. Can anyone please help me fix this.

also - ive installed the RC patch. It used to run flawlessly for me pre 1.18

Sometimes it says "The program cant start because the IFC22.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem" Ive reinstalled the game about 4 times now

I have a Windows Intel Graphics Media Accelerator, but the game used to run with no problems before the 1.18 update

That error people have when try to incorrectly run ArmA beta version. Install final patch from Steam and run game without -mod=beta in your shortcut.

Okay so after reinstalling it again, this is my updated problem. The game runs but the framerates for the loading menu are awful, and the graphics in the background of the menu look worse than a Playstation 1 game. Occasionally the text on the screen gets very blurry. When I try to actually play a mission, the graphics remain the same and so do the framerates, also when I access the menu ALL of the words appear blurry. When I try to change any of the graphics settings the game minimizes and then I cant open it again, I have to actually end the process via ctrl alt del. Also there are various issues with the sound, like the menu noises wont play when you click a button, and the sound is choppy in game.

Yes I did, I even deleted the ACE mod

Your post is missing some very basic info, which is mandatory if you want someone to actually try to help you, so add at least your HW configuration, the OS you're using, and the version of the game.
