WKK Gimbal 0 Posted May 18, 2002 I've tried the demo of Dungeon Siege. A bit like Diablo in 3d, but also much better than Diablo. I just can't decide if I should buy it... The demo is supposed to be 10% of the game. I completed the demo in an afternoon. So if it only takes 10 afternoons to play the whole game ... can anyone who has the whole game tell me if it's worth getting, and why or why not? cheers
bn880 5 Posted May 18, 2002 That game is not worth anything. Doesn't have any depth to it. Try Morrowind. The elder scrolls. If you like those type of games.
jawk2 1 Posted May 18, 2002 if u want a diablo without story get DSiege.. i played Diablo diablo 2 and LOD... i finished all of them But Dsiege i got bored after the swamp level, the game is beautiful but there'snt a story in it: just fight. Same advice get morrowind it's a masterpiece
WKK Gimbal 0 Posted May 18, 2002 Ok, thanks. I've just heard many on this board say that Morrowind is boring, slow and has a poor combat system. But since some obviously likes it, I'll try the demo and see for myself. One game that shall rule them all, though: Neverwinter Nights So I just need a hack&slash/RPG fix until NN is released Now if someone would make a fantasy RPG in 1st person, using the same sword combat system as in Jedi Knight: Outcast, mixed with custom character building and skills ... that would be amazing! Sandman 0 Posted May 20, 2002 DS is good, but its true, it doesnt have that "depth" in it that D2 had. Lots of eyecandy tho... Its really "Diablo2-lite" IMO, but still fun. I played through the singleplayer-campaign in about 30-40 hours, but there is another campaign that is only accsessable through multiplayer (its larger, but has an even thinner plot). Taken all together, I think I can recommend it. I would give it the verdict 3+ on a scale to 5.
LordZach 0 Posted May 20, 2002 morrowind is great, i've been playing it for hours every day for over a week and either i'm slow or there is a lot to do in this game!

Warin 0 Posted May 20, 2002 It may geographically be 10% but I cant imagine the rest of the game being that easy. Of course, since I just bought it, I'll find out soon enough. I think the community may well decide if this game has any legs. They are positioning it as easily mod-able and provide all the tools including a plug in for G-Max to allow you to create your own monsters. Not exactly Neverwinter Nights...but still cool. Baldur's Gate lost my interest after the first game, as spells began dominating everything. I also liked the rest of the combat system - it all reminded me about good old Myth. And the environments are fantastic. I may just get it after all, it can't possibly be shorter than Jedi Knight Outcast. Â Let me know what you think of it further on

I think I am going to sit down tonight and power my way past what I've seen from the demo. Jedi Outcast was a wonderful game in spite of it's brevity. Is there a demo out there for morrowind?
