Active community?

Recommended Posts

I've played Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Played and loved Project Reality but deleted it because only UK servers were only active most of the time and my ping was way too high.

I've heard ARMA 2 was super buggy and not worth playing but I finally tried both the demo for ARMA 2 and Operation Arrowhead and both are incredible.

I'm on the verge of purchasing Combined Operations, but I'm worried there aren't a lot of US servers and I'll be playing single player all the time (eventually gets old)

I live in New Hampshire btw.

Thanks to anyone who answers this, high hopes that I'll be buying this game.

I believe there are quite a few US servers for ArmA 2: Combined Operations, as well as a bunch of US clans such as Shack Tactical. Browse this section and have a look at the various clans and where they're based.

A word of advice, refrain from admitting you're a Dragon Rising player around these parts, especially if you liked it. :D

Moving to the right forum.

I've played Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

I'd keep that one quiet if I were you!

I've heard ARMA 2 was super buggy and not worth playing

Don't know where you heard this ... but as you found out it is WAY wrong!

There are LOTS of servers worldwide, hosting a variety of missions. Just doing SP is really wasting the potential of the game.

The purchase will be the BEST decision you ever make in your life !

Kind regards and welcome to the community!

Are there lots of people playing online then? And English speakers?

I'd say the English-speaking community is the most active.

Russian community is active too :D

Arma2 is buggy. Isn't that common knowledge? But it still is worth playing.

I would take all that with a grain of salt. LOTS is quite relative when it comes to A2. Most ppl seem to play with 3-6 player COOPs;

If the OP is looking for PR type of FPS-action, well he is going to be disappointed. At least till A2:PR is released.

Let's face it, when it was released and b4 it was patched it was super buggy. That's probably where that cliché of a buggy game comes from.

I've played Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.
not meaning to sound rude but EVERYONE on this forum hates that waste of existence, it has nothing to do with arma or operation flashpoint its a cheap copy by an ex partner with BIS
I've heard ARMA 2 was super buggy and not worth playing
Most major game wrecking bugs have been fixed but I would prefer a buggy arma over cod anyday

there are plenty of servers

oh and BTW the There is hundreds of mods and addons

And the single player never gets boring with all these community made missions
