PvtRAGER 10 Posted April 14, 2011 I've played Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Played and loved Project Reality but deleted it because only UK servers were only active most of the time and my ping was way too high. I've heard ARMA 2 was super buggy and not worth playing but I finally tried both the demo for ARMA 2 and Operation Arrowhead and both are incredible. I'm on the verge of purchasing Combined Operations, but I'm worried there aren't a lot of US servers and I'll be playing single player all the time (eventually gets old) I live in New Hampshire btw. Thanks to anyone who answers this, high hopes that I'll be buying this game.
Zipper5 74 Posted April 14, 2011 I believe there are quite a few US servers for ArmA 2: Combined Operations, as well as a bunch of US clans such as Shack Tactical. Browse this section and have a look at the various clans and where they're based. A word of advice, refrain from admitting you're a Dragon Rising player around these parts, especially if you liked it. :D Moving to the right forum.

kremator 1065 Posted April 14, 2011 I've played Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. I'd keep that one quiet if I were you! I've heard ARMA 2 was super buggy and not worth playing Don't know where you heard this ... but as you found out it is WAY wrong! I'm on the verge of purchasing Combined Operations, but I'm worried there aren't a lot of US servers There are LOTS of servers worldwide, hosting a variety of missions. Just doing SP is really wasting the potential of the game. The purchase will be the BEST decision you ever make in your life ! Kind regards and welcome to the community! Skozza89 10 Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) Are there lots of people playing online then? And English speakers? Edited April 15, 2011 by Skozza89 typo
Lonestar 11 Posted April 16, 2011 I'd say the English-speaking community is the most active.
rundll.exe 12 Posted April 18, 2011 I think this speaks for itself: http://arma2.swec.se/server/country Apart from Germany, you're in the best place to find fellow gamers form your time and ping zone!
Spayker 10 Posted April 19, 2011 I'd say the English-speaking community is the most active. Russian community is active too :D

Kind regards and welcome to the community I would take all that with a grain of salt. LOTS is quite relative when it comes to A2. Most ppl seem to play with 3-6 player COOPs; http://arma2.swec.se/server/list If the OP is looking for PR type of FPS-action, well he is going to be disappointed. At least till A2:PR is released. Zipper5 74 Posted April 20, 2011 Buggy != super buggy, but I digress.
Rasa-be 10 Posted April 24, 2011 Let's face it, when it was released and b4 it was patched it was super buggy. That's probably where that cliché of a buggy game comes from.
ArmAriffic 10 Posted April 24, 2011 (edited) I've played Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.not meaning to sound rude but EVERYONE on this forum hates that waste of existence, it has nothing to do with arma or operation flashpoint its a cheap copy by an ex partner with BISI've heard ARMA 2 was super buggy and not worth playing Most major game wrecking bugs have been fixed but I would prefer a buggy arma over cod anydayI'm on the verge of purchasing Combined Operations, but I'm worried there aren't a lot of US servers there are plenty of serversoh and BTW the There is hundreds of mods and addons And the single player never gets boring with all these community made missions Edited April 24, 2011 by ArmAriffic
