Cannot connect to any MP server

First off BattleEye leaves a lot to be desired. No way to choose a country for example. List is displayed with some servers with green systems, but mostly red 'x' symbols showing blank lines. No Arma II OA version number is shown either. Cannot join any server I find. Always get the 'connection failed' message. Any ideas??

Is there another game finder software to use?

To clarify - it does not happen for every server, right?

Does it happen only for Linux server?

What connection do you have? Router and/or firewall involved?

Servers show up but can't connect.

Yes I am using that client.dll file.

From what I understand there are no required ports to open, to play the game, on the router.
