Rovka 14 Posted March 12, 2011 Well, who did fail here? The kid, or the parent allowing his kid to get to the hypothetical gun, and letting the kid point it at the parent or anybody else, for the parent hadn't had it stored inside a safety-locker, or even having a gun stored in the house at all?? Like all influential kids, this specific kid also is a product of his parents, thus cannot be held responsible for aslong as it had not reached the age of being officially deemed adult by that nation's law. This means the parents fail, for buying such game for their obsessive kid. I think this is not the first time this kid did show such behavior, and the parents must have known this, and perhaps even left a secret camera there to record it!! I think this purely is a case of inbred insanity where the kid had learned to get his way, by putting up loud scoffing, threatening, screaming etc.. Parents probably didn't double-check their family-trees where they themselves had a childwish, and now they have to sit on blisters of having to pay for their kid running therapy or medicins as result.. That is what you get when you reward a kid for wrong behavior.. An insane world as result! Should people put the blame at games for that, where games atleast still try to channel such events, and made these played out in private on a screen, instead of actively advocating doing such for real out in the streets?? Games are never responsible for causing deaths, however parental failure, and lack of parental and offspring's backbone and parents not teaching their kids good morality is! nodunit 397 Posted March 14, 2011 Yes and has been said so for years even the kid who made the video originally commented that it was all an act so don't take it seriously.
Rovka 14 Posted March 14, 2011 Well, if this is all acted, then it's a pretty damn good performance! But, where this is acted as it seemed to be; How about people who are seriously like this, actually being prone to such behavior-patterns and such? You cannot deny, that such kind of people really do excist. And as with everything, there are always people around, who're unable to handle the stuff, no matter the subject or it's actual content.. sudayev 27 Posted March 14, 2011 Yes, I agree with you with your last posts. You can say the same about some violent cartoons triggering certain behaviours or beliefs. Sometimes it's hard to explain things to 4yr old that things on the TV are not exactly real and following these can end up very badly. I saw a scene today in the media store. a 8-9 yr old was begging his mom to buy him a game. He picked L4D2, mother was moaning - why game, maybe book, she paid eventually (without checking the title age limitations) and was quite relaxed because this game will buy her some time to do other things while her son will be happily slashing through the zombie mob. L4D2 is a great training tool for when the day the zed invasion begins. He will be the first person on his block that will know what to do: shoot the shit out of everything that moans and has blood on it, resulting in saving his family and moving them to a mountainous area to reproduce. Rovka 14 Posted March 15, 2011 Simple case of 1-2-3. Parents wanted kid(s) be born. Parents have the duty to raise it together properly, and child/society will be truly happy if all that is carried out according to the book.
