Rich_R 1087 Posted January 17, 2011 It was with great sadness I read in the Times magazine over the weekend of the passing of Dick Winters, the leader of WW2's famous Easy Company of the 101st Airborne Division. It was the book by Stephen Ambrose and later HBO series of the groups' exploits that helped the general public refocus and realize what great deeds the men of not only the 101st but all the servicemen and women of World War 2 achieved during an exacting time in world history. Its amazing to know (and play) modern combat games such as Arma 2 with body armor, precise weapons, satellite connected this that and another after reading about and watching of men who dove into the confusion of war Armed with only a small-clip un-scoped rifle, helmet and their boundless bravery. We've lost another hero from 'America's greatest generation'.
