sagarasousuke 10 Posted January 9, 2011 By the user, making it easier for you to make animated characters or what? The solution will be one physics engine and animation by interpolation, the threshold would go down. Big Dawg KS 6 Posted January 9, 2011 I'm afraid this is one post where a lot of things got lost in translation... Anyway, ArmA 2 already has a perfectly fine animation system; it's just that making good anims tends to require something like a mocap studio...

PuFu 4600 Posted January 9, 2011 animating is already possible in O2. NO, it is not an easy job, but it is more than possible. Mocap is not mandatory when using todays professional grade software (which do cost quite a lot though..) Here is the image of a RTM exporter setup myself and SA been working on for 3ds max using the CAT system:
DaveP 66 Posted January 9, 2011 Here is the image of a RTM exporter setup myself and SA been working on for 3ds max using the CAT system: I'm REALLY liking the sound of this; will it be compatible with all the 3DS Max animation tools? Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding was you can't do interpolation or IK with O2
PuFu 4600 Posted January 9, 2011 Due my own time constrain, and SA, the first release it will be compatible only with 3ds max 2011 onwards (where CAT is integrated, but might work with previous versions as well as long as CAT is used as a plug-in). The above RTM should be included in the next 3dsMax plugin updated (according to my last discussion on the subject with SA, who is doing all the scripting part as well as the tool integration). The rig you see there needs additional adjustments for the controllers (fingers, etc), and skin weighing on the CAT bones. I have already started (but it is on hold due to RL commitments) the rig based on the MAX default bones system. I have no idea how much time and what changes would require to modify the CAT script for it. That is SA part :) CAT
sagarasousuke 10 Posted January 16, 2011 Information on motion capture Kinect XBOX360, it seems like a personal level becomes, ARMA2 also could increase the original animation. Want to use it as a new input device.
acoustic 82 Posted January 17, 2011 Arma's animations and terrible mutiplayer syncing of animations if what has made me not want to play the game.
