Game blackout

Hi!

I have both versions of arma 2 ( arma 2 and operation arowhead)

soo today i started arma 2 operation arowhead and it crashed on main menu right after splash screen.

Tryed arma 2 .. the same thing!

Why with no reason it started crashing because day before i was playing both versions..

How to fix this?

I checked all other fixes nothing worked

i havent instaled any mod

i updated game

i updated graphic drivers sound drivers and everything else!

no changes :(

I had this card before, but I'm thinking possibly your gpu could be overheating trying to run the game,

is there a way for you to check the temp of your graphics card? If not I can possibly suggest one.

Overheating is only one possibility, usually with overheating you will get black screens, or crashing game,

I had that before with my current card but only because I didn't have enough ventilation,

and of course the gpu fan failed on me.

Lets hope thats all it is but your card is rather low end, more min requirements,

what you got is possibly a bottleneck where your gpu is doing alot of work to catch up to level with your cpu which can meet the demand.

52 c degrees

it isnt overheating .. last time when i was playing it i were playing for some 3 4 hours and temperture was just 62 c degrees.. i think it is some king of software error but it cant be because i havent changed or added anything in the game :(

Do you have Arma2 and OA combined as in combined ops, basically OA in Arma2's folder?

and what do you have arma2 patched too and OA, if both patched to latest then theres a possibility

of an issue with your game and the latest patch for OA.

Just my guess, but from alot of posts I've been seeing the patch

has caused some trouble for some folks.

and i have updated the game both versions.. i checked out allmost all google pages about arma 2 crashes .. nothing worked :(

if you dont find anything then maybe post your issue there lets assuming that its patch related which is very possible.

Your target line also known as the command line is the line in your desktop shortcut the target line is what the

game reads when you click on the shortcut, and the line has the folder and exe (application) of your game,

and any startup parameters, and mods u are running.

When you launch the game do you launch from a shortcut or another means?

also just a thought, when you post in a forum its not necessary to quote someone when thier post

is above yours unless your responding to more then one post in the same thread.

about target line huhh.. how far i remember i have tryed 13 command lines in 5 different ways.. right now its just -"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead\arma2OA.exe" -window"

This is your problem.

You need to have A2 and OA in same folder.

Uninstall A2 and OA, then install A2 first, start A2, load mision, save. then exit and install OA in same folder as A2, install any dlc if you have, then apply latest patch 1.57.

why it dont work the way he has it.

couldn't he just move the OA folder (files ) into the Arma2 directory,a nd then patch it or does it do

okay! i got the operation arowhead working (i could live without arma 2) but it shows 'programm have stopped responding after some 2 mins of gameplay .. what could cause this?

You have a similar pc as I so you should be able to run it (with normal settings). I have 1 Gb more RAM, but even that it is not enough often. You might want to increase virtual memory, as thats probably to low with your 2Gb RAM.

You did not mention if you have a Steam version or not. If you do then you should verify the game cache, it might be missing some files.

i have retail version of game. and i allways were playing this game with no problems! Always on 35 fps and there were no problems!

Hey guys i fixed it! Thnx god for that i know somting from programming xD made my own files and scripts! now everything goes perfectly!!

good to hear, you should post your fix so if others having same problem comes here in a search they can fix it.
